Happened to pop in to L'effervescence after a champagne tour, as we passed it on the street. Antoine, who appeared to be the manager and server, was so friendly, giving us lunch recommendations in English. The menu appeared to be prepared for the day, and we enjoyed a delicious burger and lamb with our drinks. The food is plated beautifully, and the ambiance is nice, casual. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for French cuisine in a more modern setting. Antoine was kind enough to call us a taxi for our next destination.

You have to love a restaurant that doesn't print menus, and you choose off a chalk board. This is a SMALL place. But we went in the evening during the week (Tuesday) and we didn't need a reservation or anything. I did have the burger-which was recommended on TripAdvisor-and it was quite good. The meat melts in your mouth and the bread is terrific of course. My sig. other had the duck and it was tremendous as well-but I feel this is a rotating menu item.

They had some cocktails on the menu, but nothing too ingenious-however they were still tasty. There is a chef and a bartender/manager/owner working-so this is a small shop. The food came out in an appropriate amount of time though.

This is worth a walk off the beaten path. I'm glad we came, the food is great.

Existing trip advisor reviews brought us to L'Effervescence and unfortunately we were disappointed by a bizarre experience. It is a small restaurant/bar and the waiter/manager took our order including a pate starter, which took > 40 minutes to arrive and the mains even longer despite the other tables, who ordered after us, had already received their meals. What was most strange was the attitude of the manager when we enquired after the delay- he was very nonchalant and laissez-faire.
Whilst the duck was tasty, the beef tartar was almost inedible- but thankfully the chef removed it from the bill. The chef seems the most switched on - if you need to visit this restaurant, I suggest to deal with him.

Fantastic homemade food, from regional ingredients, accompanied with nice champagne made by the family of the restaurant’s owner. Service is outstanding! Well worth a visit!

Previous reviews took us here, we were not disappointed. Fantastic host, service brilliant. You don’t expect burgers to be a French specialty but my wife thinks this is the best ever. The bun was home made, brioche like and very very good.
The white chocolate flakes on the chocolate tart divine.
Good wine choice, pink fizz by the glass lovely.
