“Lovely cottage in a perfect Loire location”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a lovely stay in this gite. The owners are lovely and so helpful and ensured we had everything we needed when travelling with a 6 month old baby (travel cot, highchair, changing mat). The location is perfect - set in a beautiful walled garden a short walk from the village of Azay-le-Rideau. We strolled in everyday to get our pastries and bread, and there's a supermarket not far away if needed. Great location for exploring the Loire, including Villandary Chateaux/ gardens and Chinon. We hope to return!

“Perfect location for visiting the Loire Valley”
Reviewed 25 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This is a comfortable gite, that is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and perfectly located. Patrick and Dominique were gracious hosts, who were extremely helpful with local information and made us feel very welcome.
It was just a short walk into town - no need to drive to restaurants in the evening!
We enjoyed having use of the bikes, and would recommend a cycle trip to Villandry.

“An excellent base from which to explore a fascinating area.”
Reviewed 12 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We booked the Le Plessis gite at short notice, having looked at several other similar properties in the area. Though not as centrally placed in the Loire area as some, this turned out to be a blessing. The location is excellent and the accommodation, set within a secure, walled garden, is beautiful, well-equipped and scrupulously clean. The town centre of Azay le Rideau is a ten-minute walk away, or two minutes by car and has a good range of shops, many restaurants and a very helpful tourist information bureau. The children loved the clean, well-run municipal outdoor swimming pool, which is about five minutes walk away. There is also a large Carrefour supermarket about five minutes car drive away on the Tours road to the north of the town for anything else you might need.
The gite is run by Patrick and Dominique Lepage who are delightful people, and we will certainly try to keep in touch with them. They live in a separate house within the walled garden and are usually around during the day and evening. Having lived here for forty years, they are brimming with local knowledge and more than ready to help and advise at all times. We particularly appreciated the hand-written welcome at the entrance, and the complimentary bottle of champagne on our arrival, but these were only the beginning - the entire experience was magnificent. We would certainly book this accommodation again - the only thing we did not like was having to leave!

“Excellent gite, great hosts”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Great gite, lovely & spacious ground, free use of BBQ and bikes greatly enjoyed. Site has an electric gate, so it feels very safe. Our teenagers really enjoyed just lounging around and chilling out.

Short walk into Azay, yet very quiet & tranquil spot. Easy to find, they even put up a sign with our names on it on the gate.

One of the best holiday lets I've ever had.

“Top-notch accommodations, peaceful and beautiful setting”

The owners are the sweetest people and they maintain this property up to very high standards. It is spotlessly clean, and well furnished, and overall really well equipped (the usual problem: bring your own sharp knife if you intend to cook). It is a short walk outside town, which means the night-time noise is just owls hooting. Would be ideal for children as the property is walled and gated, around a lovely large lawn. The owners live on site and provide a gas barbecue, bicycles, and any advice you need. You will even be welcomed with your name on the gate -- this indicates their care and attention to making sure your stay is excellent.
