the hotel is centrally located. Proprietors are courteous and helpful. The rooms are nicely sized and the bed is comfortable, with a nice duvet. Our rooms were in the traditional building which does not have an elevator and has motion detectors to turn on the lights in the hallway and public area. Breakfast is a buffet and not included in the room price.

This is an easy review to write because everything was awesome. I’ll run you through it;
We were warmly greeted and shown where to park our bikes immediately.
Our rooms were huge and of a high standard (feels like 4-star).
The beds were amazing to sleep in and the rooms were very quiet (we were on the top floor).
Eric was a great host to us, serving our nightcap in the lounge and explaining the hotel history.
Breakfast was massive and lovely.
Checkout was swift and friendly.
Cannot fault the experience.

Super helpful and friendly staff and completely relaxed having our dog to stay. We had a small but delightful room with old fashioned charm and modern attention to the bed and showering side. Whilst there is lots of available parking in the village we opted for their secure parking in a huge locked garage. Great. We also ate in the restaurant and would agree that breakfast is good value but found dinner beautifully cooked and served but a little on the ordinary side - chicken, fish or pork - flavour wise. Would definitely stay again but eat out.

We booked this hotel via Expedia and it was a great choice. When we got to Azay le Rideau, the GPS directed to the back of the hotel (the building that is not open) in the main plaza of the town, then we've seen the sign saying Reception. The room was large and clean (we had a triple room - La Guerche). Also, the staff is very friendly. The first evening we did the mistake not to dine at the hotel. We went there the second evening and the food was great (we had the pork file with duck breast and for desert the strawberry tart). To make the story short, this is a great place to stay and eat. I do recommend.

Stopped on spec on the drive back from the Dordogne to the Eurotunnel. Very comfortable rooms in an old coaching inn. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We also had dinner in the restaurant the food was excellent and at an average price for the village. Don’t miss the breakfast whilst an additional cost it is good value
