Styayed here for just on emnight on the way through from Italy back to the UK
IT was fine for a city centre business hotel but the staff were not as helpful as they perhaps would have been as we were part of a large party with a pre- booked set meal. No need for them therefore to make any effort . A little difficulty with one room was resolved by our own tour guide having to be very forceful with the front desk in order to get the correct nonsmoking room that had been booked. This made for an unpleasant atmosphere. Shame

When my mum ordered a pizza for me and my brother from dominos the women at reception said " the pizza man will bring the pizza the the hotel for you". So we waited for 1 and a half hours for the pizza come. So my mum asked her to call dominos one more time to time check and dominos got the orders mixed up so we went back up to the room starving. But the members at reception were ever helpful and said sorry many times. They gave us free breakfast and we didn't pay for the mini bar! HOORAY!!!! So the stay wasn't all bad.

we had codfish in a champagne sauce, with vegetables (still "al dente", that's how veggies should be). Accompanied by a very good white wine (côte de nuits, one of the cheaper wines on the list, but nevertheless very good).
Dessert was a choice of a variety of sweets, all tasting great.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Take the 40 euro menu on one night and the cheaper 30 euro one for a second night. The real difference between the two is that the more expensive menu has both cheese and dessert trollies, whereas the cheaper one has only one of these to choose from.
Food was well prepared and delicious and accompanied by some excellent wine. I would definitely go back there if in the locality again.
