Superb building in the old, historic centre of Dijon.
Close to everything, so no need for buses or taxis.
Dijon has a natty little electric bus. Be careful, as it is very stealthy!!
Superb architecture.
The hotel, also lovely and old. Smallish room on the top floor, but has air con. Small, compact shower, but hey, not there for the room really.
Usual French style breakfast (chargeable).

Wireless, although free is RUBBISH. Have to reconnect each time you come in. Very slow and not good (a pain in the......) if you have more than 1 device.

Other than that, lovely hosts. Clean and tidy. (very)

Stayed one night very pleasant and a 1/2 mile walk shows you all the pedestrianised streets with shops and cafes. Good breakfast for 8 euros. Parking in street within 50 metres well lit free from 7pm to 9Am then 2 euros per hour. No lift in hotel but most rooms are on 1st or 2nd floor so no problem.

This is an older hotel, but very clean and well maintained. No lift as this is hard to do in older properties and no parking, but a high ceilinged bright room with air con made up for it. The street outside is brightly lit st night and can be loud with student revelry but once the windows are closed and the air con is on you cannot hear the cacophony of the street. Good value in a good location.

Room Tip: It's in the university district so street noise is an issue.

I booked one of the rooms on the third floor knowing that it will be under the roof and hence have some limitations (eg one cannot stand up straight in the toilet). What we didn't realise is that the walls are paper thin and one can hear every word and noise from the adjacent room. There is a potential hazard in that opening the main window can easily cause injuries. Also in summer, the rooms under the roof get very hot. In our room, the aircon pumped air straight above our heads. We had to leave it turned off. Others may not be impacted by this.
The rooms need a make-over but that's acceptable given the price. The location is excellent.

We are pleased that you apreciated our excellent location in the historical centre, close to all sightseeings but very quiet street. We are very sorry to read that you had Noisy neighbours.
Regarding air conditionning, if you had informed us about this disconvenience, it would have been a pleasure for us to show you how to orientate and set the air conditioning.

We arrived early, before standard checkin. However, the very friendly staff agreed to hold our bags and give us the parking garage ticket so we could explore beautiful Dijon while they prepared our room. The room, although a bit small, was clean and comfortable, overlooking Dijon rooftops. Although the garage was a few minutes walk away, it was nice having somewhere to park safely and economically in a large city, a big plus. The hotel itself is only a couple of blocks from the Ducal Palace and main square, restaurants and museums. A nice treat was the electric kettle and coffee and tea packets in the hall of each level.
We opted for the breakfast, which was good, including ham, cheese, breads and boiled eggs.
One note: Our room was four flights up, quite a climb, even for relatively fit people like us. However, the staff did bring our bags up to our room. Since there is no elevator, I would advise anyone with mobility problems to ask for a room on a lower level.

Room Tip: Anyone with mobility problems should definitely ask for a room on the lower levels. The stairs are exhausting after a long day touring.
