Upon our arrival, the hotel made a very nice first impression from the outside, it has a nice historical façade and the location is also very good. The young lady at the reception was nice and helpful.
Unfortunately the first impression did not last... Climbing up the stairs to our room, the decoration of the corridors seemed quite outworn and not of the best taste (you must be a lover of the colour Purple and of hand-painted purple paintings, then this is the perfect place for you...), but we hoped that the rooms would make that up again. But unfortunately the room (even if it was very clean) looked quite shabby, with humidity stains on the ceiling, a very used bathroom-floor and overly-painted heaters... The air-conditionning did not work, so the room was quite hot. We were given a Wifi-Code, which allowed us to use Wifi for about 5min. before we had to enter the Code again and again... until we gave up. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast-room could be a real treasure-spot, with its beautiful antique wooden painted ceiling, but again...unfortunately there were no lights turned on in the room, so we ate in a half-dark room. The room itself is quite small for the numbers of tables that are standing in it, so we helt our breath and did not move to much in order not to disturb the other customers. The food-selection was okay, even if I have to remark that I had better breakfast-choices in different other hotels and B&Bs which costed less and offered more choices.
All in all our stay was okay for one night, but we'll find other options on our next stay in Dijon.

The charming old building has a lot of potential which, unfortunately the iwners don't seem to be seeing tht potential. The rooms look like having just been painted over quickly and the equipment installed according to some checklist without any sense of coherent interior design. Then there are traces of humidity on the ceiling, the floor is broken in the bathroom and the beds are a nightmare for your back. The Wifi does not really work, as you need to log in every time you log into your phone. As said before, the hotel has a lot of potential and the personnel is very friendly, but due to poor beds, bad choices of materials and little maintenace, it was a disappointing stay.

We were 3 friends who made this trip over a weekend. We reached at 11:30 pm which was pretty late and the key with internet password was left for at the door for us.
The room was just right to accommodate 3 people. The beds were comfortable, which is just what we need when we are staying only for a weekend and walk around the city a lot. Linen was clean, tidy. In a small space they had created a warm and comfortable ambience. Tea/coffee maker was available in common area right outside the room.
The hotel was very close from city center. After we checked in, we went to a wine bar in the old town. Everything was within walking distance.
They have a car park also close by for 7 EUR 24 hours. On Sunday's, Dijon has free car parking all around the town. So we bought a ticket only for Saturday. There is ample car parking space just outside the hotel as well.

The hotel gives two different impressions, the corridors need a renovation, while the rooms are very pleasntly decorated. It is in the middle of the old part of Dijon, which has is advantages ( and disadvantages). All in all a place that i liked.

We stayed here for one night on our way back to the UK. The hotel employees were very welcoming and friendly, spoke English well which helped a lot. We were in room 2 which was great for the kids as the room had bunk beds which they found to be great fun. A little too much road noise as our room on the ground floor near the street. Breakfast was excellent. Dijon was a lovely place to walk around with lots of nice restaurants nearby.
