After a period of only flying to Spain I had resumed the habit to go by car and make our usual stop-over in Beaune again. It was a pleasant surprise to stay here in Ibis two times in September; on our way to Spain and coming from Spain. Weather was nice so I could sit at the swimming pool with a glass of wine and complimentary chips. Rooms are still simple but efficiently furnished. No minibar. Free WiFi. Most importantly: clean. The bathrooms were equipped with a shower that was this time accessible (no showering in a poor bath with high step-up). We had dinner and really enjoyed the food. Escargots and Foie Gras were great, the Filet de St Pierre was well prepared (this fish needs special attention) and the Crème Brulee tasted terrific. You can choose individual items from the card as well as opt for various menus. Prices are at a level as if you were downtown Beaune. Especially wines are overpriced like they are downtown. Unfortunately some of the staff (how friendly they are!) is not aware of the etiquette which you may expect if you order an expensive wine. This was sloppy served in port (!) glasses (drips spoiled over the place) and after-dinner port is served in long drink glasses (1 inch fill!). A minor comment because our stay felt really good after all!

Would rate this as better than "average" but not "very good". We arrived to find that our raised ground floor room is not served by the lift although help was volunteered with our luggage. 25 mins easy walk to the old town, good parking, excellent though very busy in evening restaurant. Cheese chariot fab at €10 and 450gms (1 lb) steak at €32 easily enough for two people. Beaune is not cheap but great value Carrefour restaurant just 5 mins away on way to town. Pool "not open" when still warm and sunny on 21 September. Cleaned it myself and swam on two days, as did some Germans. Accor need to understand that northern Europeans swim much later in the year than southern Europeans. Would come again.

Situated at about 1 km from the highway (route du soleil) the Ibis hotel la ferme aux vins is one of the hotels near the exposition hall. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are cosy but in our case, they were very hot during the night. AC didn't work and as I heard at breakfast, I think the AC was shut down because everybody was talking about how warm the room was during the night. Rooms are clean and quite big.The restaurant serves a variety of food so it's a perfect stop on the way to the south, you can take a dip in the pool, have a nice dinner, sleep till morning, enjoy the breakfast buffet and within no time you're back on the highway.

First off, the staff at this Ibis are excellent. Friendly, helpful and happy to go the extra mile. The receptionist kindly put out groceries in the hotel fridge overnight on our recent overnight stopover back to the UK from the South of France.

Location is close to the autoroute so don't expect quaint French village. Rooms are in need of a refurb but they are still clean and comfortable. Parking is secure and access to the rooms is a breeze, so important on a quick stopover where you do not want to leave all your bags and purchases in the car overnight, all though, I think cars would be fine overnight at this Ibis.

We didn't try the restaurant as I find most of these French Burgundy places over priced for what you get quality wise, however, it actually looked pretty good compared to the dodgy Italian restaurant we ended up going to just around the corner from the hotel.

This is our midway stop to Provence Andy as allways great food, good beds and friendly staff and good value for money. If you want a stopover from the motorway then it is only a 5 minute drive away. Recommend.
