A great little apartment with lots of character, situated down a quiet street, right in the heart of St. Malo's Intra-Muros. Darren, the owner, is very helpful and friendly. The Captain's Cabin was very clean, and a good place to come back to after a day's sightseeing.
St Malo is perfect for beaches, restaurants, shopping, coastal walks and its historic walls. You don't need a car. There are also regular buses to take you to local beauty spots along the coast.
My partner and I stayed here for a week. It's a terrific base from which to explore the Intra-Muros—enjoying the scenery, the beach, and the seemingly endless supply of restaurants and cafés. The flat was clean and comfortable and Darren was really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
What a privilege to be able to stay at the Captain's Cabin. The location couldn't be better - a short but visually inspiring walk from the ferry terminal that allows the excitement to mount as the walls are approached and entered. The Cabin really is at the heart of everything that the small but perfectly formed city of St Malo has to offer - history, architecture, beautiful beaches, fine dining, snug bars.
The Cabin was spotlessly clean and well provided with everything that could be needed for a relaxing stay. Best use has been made of the space, creating a cozy atmosphere enhanced by pictures and artefacts with a suitably nautical theme.
To sum up -- a wonderful apartment that combines history with comfort and convenience in a fantastic location.
