Very pleasant meal with excellent service. We chose the set menu which was very good value for money with an excellent bottle of wine, also sensibly priced. Our food was well presented, very tasty, good portion size. We didn't book a table but ate early. Restaurant soon filled up so bear that in mind. Looking forward to a return visit

The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make my meal very enjoyable indeed. Whilst specialising in seafood I was drawn to the sole and then the kidneys and opted for the latter!! My starter of sardines was really flavoursome served in a glass with superb sauce/jelly. The kidneys came on type of pot and were beautifully sliced and mixed with finely cooked mushroom, exquisite!

There are many good restaurants in this delightful town. This, under the wing of the Hotel Univers, is more up market in terms of ambiance and furnishings. According to the menus, this place was a rarity in offering individual plates of welks, winkles, rose prawns and oysters. Our waitress kindly organised, on an iced platter, half portions of the first two, the prawns and six No3 oysters, for a light lunch, plus an excellent half of Muscadet. We were looked after very well. The food was in fine condition and our unusual request was met willingly.

The restaurant is cozy, the waiters extremely nice. We had a platter of oysters, a bowl of cream mussels and a grilled Lieu filet. The oysters were very fresh, the mussels well done. The Lieu filet was flavorless (first time we have this kind of fish), I guess not the restaurant mistake, however the sauce that accompanied it was tasty. We ended our meal on a great note, the riz au lait facon grand mere, served with an exquisite caramel sauce. The prices are very reasonable, we paid around 50 euros for two (did not have any drinks).
