From the minute we entered this restaurant we were warmly welcomed . This is a really well set out and beautifully decorated establishment.
Some of my friends had the 3 course 37.00 euro menu. Some of us had meals from the A La Carte menu.
It was quite convoluted in that some had pre-paid, and all had different menu's but this was handled in a most professional and easy to understand way!
We all started with a nice Mellon amuse bouche. Crispy bread rolls weren't just handed out once, but over and over again with beautiful salty butter until we couldn't fit any more in.
From all reports, all meals were received well. My entrecôte was nice but had large portions of fat which didn't appeal to me but others may have enjoyed that .
The desserts looked particularly spectacular and beautifully presented.
Chocolates and tiny lemon cakes were given to all and more chocolates given with our coffees .
Even though I didn't really enjoy my meal, I know all the others did, and the service from the staff was so wonderful and attentive that I would give this place six stars if possible.
Reasonable prices for this kind of restaurant as well.

Le Cap Horn is a brilliant restaurant. We ate there twice and each night had a lovely table overlooking the sea and the beach. As well as a la carte they have three set menus which seemed very good value. We tried the two most expensive set menus and were delighted with both of them. Stand out dishes were the grilled fillet of turbot with black rice, the wonderful oysters and the fillet with chorizo, as well as the excellent cheese board. The fact that we only stayed in St Malo for three nights and ate here twice says it all!

The only good thing about this restaurant is the view. Although when it is getting dark you don't see anything at all, so the value of the view is sort of overestimated. The food is poor to average, but the service is extremely poor and unacceptable. They served us rather expensive red wine and didn't changed the glasses from white wine and the waiter was very unsatisfied when we insisted. And this was not the only episode. In general I would not advise to go there nor for food neither for service of that so highly reputable place.

We all enjoyed the great views over the beach and sea. Our dinner matched the excellence of the location. Four of us had turbot, sole and lobster salad. Oh so good. This together with a bottle of Chassagne Montrachet selected from an excellent wine list made the evening just perfect. The quality of décor and service matched the high quality of dinner itself

Choose a table seaside, go for a menu with oysters as a starter: they are fabulous, but do not ask for a crepe flambee as dessert: that is a bit to high for the young staff: that is my only remark: there isthe experienced staff but too many trainees without supervision.
