“Perfect base to explore Brittany”
Reviewed 7 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

A warm and cosy (we were there when the weather was still chilly) apartment on three floors right on Dinan's old river-port. As it's an original building it is right on the street but the windows have modern shutters for complete privacy. The location is perfect: not only for a visit up into the old, Medieval town, but also immediate access to the walking and bicycle trails, inland along the estuary (which is highly recommended), as well as the riverside restaurants: an excellent patisserie is a stone's throw away. Cathy and John are excellent hosts and will point out places to explore (as well as restaurants to eat in, as they are foodies), not only in Dinan but also for day trips along the Emerald coast. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you will need - from warmth to wifi.
A real gem.

“The best Dinan cottage ever!!”
Reviewed 26 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This cottage is perfectly situated across the old bridge at Port de Dinan, with lovely views along the river Rance. It has recently been renovated and provides excellent modern accommodation inside a lovely old building, keeping its quirky spiral staircases and beams. The ground floor has an extensive kitchen with fridge, cooker, etc. and a large refectory dining table and chairs. There are also comfy bucket chairs and coffee table in this large room. The firs floor has two squashy sofas, coffee table and tv/dvd player, a bedroom and bathroom, and the top floor has another double bedroom and bathroom. There is a modern combi boiler so contast hot water and central heating when needed. Parking is on the street, and is free on this side of the river. It was not a problem allthe time we were there. Cath, the owner made us very welcome with a bottle of wine, milk and bread etc. so that we were not searching for a supermarket straightaway. She also provided us with enough linen and towels for our stay. I cannot recommend this place too highly.

“Excellent cottage in perfect location”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have just returned from a very enjoyable four-night stay at this lovely cottage which has great views over the picturesque port area. The location is perfect, just a very short stroll from the restaurants and bars of Dinan Port or a 10-15 minute walk up the hill to the historic centre of Dinan. Buy your bread and croissants at the boulangerie, a one-minute walk over the little ancient bridge. The cottage has been tastefully refurbished to retain its charm yet has all the modern conveniences you need, including excellent internet. The quirky staircase to the top floor is charming, just take care to mind your step. Dinan is an excellent base with many lovely restaurants. We also enjoyed live music on Monday night at Le Zag riverside bar. There are some fantastic beaches within a 40-45 minute drive. Our favourite was the unspoilt Anse du Guesclin beach off the D201 between Cancale and St Malo. We would also recommend the spectacular Pleneuf-val-Andre golf course which is a 45-minute drive away. Overall a great cottage in a superb location. Ideal for a couple or two couples.Highly recommended.
