We didnt stay here but ate here a couple of nights. What a welcome we received from the lovely barmen they were so nice to us. The hotel is in a fabulous position overlooking the beach and the decor was so homely and welcoming, we loved loved loved it. In fact we wished we had stayed here. We sat in the bar and had fish and chips and home made Tartar sauce and it was the best we have ever tasted. Before hand the waiter came out with hors d'oeuvres and after little cakes and biscuits all included in the price. Fabulous hospitality and we would go back just for the welcome!!!!

We arrived in Carnac without reservations and this hotel was suggested by the tourist office. When we walked into the foyer it was apparent that this hotel belonged to a time when style and service were equally important. We were shown to a room at the back of the hotel that was enormous by modern standards and had a small terrace with a side view of the lovely beach and promenade. The impeccable decor is so typical of the period when the hotel was built in the '70's and the large bathroom with elevated corner bath (no shower just a hand held one) was decidedly decadent.
I could go on about the lovely heated swimming pool, bar and restaurant, free bicycles for exploring the area and fantastic, proper service from the experienced and attentive staff but I really do recommend that you visit and experience it all for yourself. For about £120 a night it's stupendous value that you can rarely find anywhere now at any price. A gem.

Room Tip: Most rooms face the sea and have terraces and balconies, some of the large rear facing rooms have side views of the beach.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Hotel Le Diana at the beginning of our holiday in France. The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach front and just a few moments walk from the local shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel was easy to find and has ample parking for guests. The hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming during our stay - particularly the bar/pool waiter who was very patient and friendly given our very basic grasp/attempts at the language! We had dinner on the restaurant terrace during our first evening at the hotel. Three course set menu (€41 per head without wine) was excellent. Also had a great lunch the following day by the pool (amazing salads).

Pool area was very nice with a few sun loungers, complementary pool towels available from reception. Pool the perfect temperature on a hot day!

The only downside of our stay was the room (courtyard view at the back), which was a little on the noisy side (kitchen noises/street noise from bars nearby) and there was no aircon so it was a bit uncomfortable at night. Would probably spend a little more to have the beach view room with balcony were we to visit again - although not sure these have aircon either...?

Otherwise, a really lovely stay, thoroughly recommend.

What a wonderful hotel , just across the road from the beach ( which incidentally is s very nice beach with safe swimming)
Superbly friendly and welcoming staff who are also very efficient. We had two rooms both delightful, with balconies and lovely views (302 & 311 ) spacious and tastefully decorated, nice bathrooms too . Some nice gestures too such as fruit is provided each evening, towels are provided that you are able to take to the beach , bathrobes and slippers are in each room. Nice swimming pool , exercise area, spa treatment available etc etc
Sandpit and garden area + tools for shrimping!
Breakfast is excellent, and there is an all day food menu which we didn't try but the more formal restaurant for dinner in the evening is excellent. Not snobby either- very friendly waiters and lovely food
100% would recommend this hotel
