“Fantastic location in Dordogne”

Stayed for a week early in the season. After a slight hiccup because I did not bring the address we found this lovely cottage in Cenac. House is well equipped and clean with great location close driving distance to all the attractions. Be sure to visit the litle chapel at St Julian a bit off the beaten track. It is easy to self cater with local supermarket nearby or use restauants. Terrace is perfect for evening wine overlooking the valley and good wine is only a few euros. we enjoyed this at the end of a day's exploration. I unluckily had to visit a doctor and this was available in the town with minimal wait. Only suggestion is for address and mud map (available on website) to be added to house information sent before departure. We found flying into Toulouse and hiring a car at main station which airport bus services easy and convenient.

“Unique French home in a picture postcard village”

We loved everything about staying here, the house is beautiful from the street and this is what attracted us to it. Inside we were not disappointed either, the owners have thought of everything, right down to a complimentary laptop to check your emails or news from home. The bedrooms are comfy and the lounge/kitchen/dining is open plan and because it's on street level you feel like you're part of village day to day life. The house is located up the hill from the main street of Cenac and has magnificent views to the other side of the valley and down towards the Dordogne River. We spent most evenings having a wine on the terrace watching the sunset and the hot air balloons floating above the chimneys. Luckily for us, we arrived the day of the Cenac Grand Fete, what a blast, we spent all day eating local dishes and trying home brewed beers and wines! Cenac is a perfect place from which to explore the Dordogne Region, make sure you hire a car. This house has a large garage underneath, we even got our Citroen Grand Picasso in it!
