“Great Location”
Reviewed 1 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The apartment was nicely decorated and very clean. It was spacious and had a cheerful feeling. The owner met us and explained everything and left us food for our first breakfast. Everything about the apartment was wonderful except since it was warm we were sleeping with the windows open. Although the neighborhood quieted down early enough the garbage collectors and the street power washer came by VERY early two mornings, between 5:30 and 6 AM. If it had been cool enough to keep the windows closed we probably wouldn't have been so disturbed. There was only one dishtowel and no dish cloths.

“Good Location”
Reviewed 1 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Great location in the middle of Petite France and an easy walk from the train station. Beware there are 4 flights of stairs that you have to carry your bags up to get to the apartment! As its right in the middle of a cafe area the noise from the cafes carry through until quite late at night/early hours in the morning - music from the buskers was a plus though. Bathroom facilities were good, washing machine good, didn't attempt to use the stove as it looked far too complicated. No air conditioning but free wifi.

“A real taste of Strasbourg”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This apartment is right in the centre of Petite France and steps away from all the major tourist attractions. It was neat and clean and actually larger than I expected. The only disappointment we had was that the washer was broken at the time but they promised to fix it right away.. Luckily I had brought enough clean clothes for the length of our stay. The owner was always available when we had to contact him and was extremely friendly. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic on the street and it can be fairly noisy but it is not obnoxious. Overall, a good experience.

“A charming apartment!”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We like everything about this apartment and have just completed our third stay there. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beautiful Petite France area and to the train station and trams. We enjoy the creative and eclectic decor of the apartment, but also appreciate the comfortable bed, generous shower, and good television and WiFi. We also appreciate the thoughtfulness of our hosts, who provide generous gifts of fruit and basic food supplies and who are there to meet us when we arrive.

We highly recommend this rental. The owner, Julian, responded promptly to our emails and greeted us personally when we arrived. He even left us a bowl of fresh fruit!
The apartment is furnished in a charming, eclectic mix of modern & antique. It has a big comfy couch, excellent lighting and lots of windows. This is not a studio; it has a separate bedroom with a door.
The kitchen & bathroom are new & modern. There is a dishwasher & a clothes washer. As in most of the apartments we have rented in Europe, there's no dryer but Julian has provided guests with a huge folder drying rack. Clothes come out of the front loader with very few wrinkles but there is an iron & board if needed.
The apartment is on a tiny street off a major street, Grande Rue, that leads to the center of town. There is a super market at the end of the street called Norma & there's a much nicer one, U express, a short walk away on Grand Rue. There's a great bakery at the end of the street & a good fruit stand nearby.
We ate at Tante Leisel on Rue des Dentelles which you can see from the living room windows. Very good Alsation cuisine & great service.
Shopping in Strasbourg is fabulous, beautiful stores at all price ranges. I especially liked "Somewhere" on Rue des Hallebardes & Weinberg Paris on Grand Rue.
Besides the Cathedral, be sure & see the Museums in the Palais Rohan, right across from the Cathedral.
It was so nice to come back to this lovely, homey apartment at night rather than to a hotel room.
We are thankful that Julian made this rental available to us.
