Great area for sitting down outside and listening to talented buskers. Lots of outside seating
More high end shops along side eateries. Lovely in the summer Cash points available

Not far from the Manchester Arndale and Market Street and Deansgate
A Go-To place

Had a great evening in the Christmas markets, great food, great atmosphere, wasn't too busy for a Friday night, had a couple of really nice beers.

Will be definitely coming again next year.

Really enjoyed the Christmas market. Had some great food and drink so I wouldn't go booking a restaurant that night as plenty of food on offer here. But other lovely items such as homemade soaps, lavender, cheese etc. were also available. Great variety on offer, goes across loads of streets.

Having arrived in Manchester for a visit to the theatre we thought we would quickly pop along to the Christmas Market. O my had about half an hour to spare which wasn't nearly enough time to wander around all the stalls and take in the atmosphere. Won't make that mistake next year. You need a couple of hours at least, mulled wine, German sausages, it all has to be tried and enjoyed. The security this year did make the market look daunting but once inside the perimeter it was fine.

It was quite nice to wander into Albert Square on a freezing cold yet clear and sunny blue-skied day. This is the first time for seemingly many a while since, for me at least, it didn't have some display or market or similar ongoing. Always nice to see it in it's natural setting.

This is a genuinely historically relevant area and deserves your full attention as you slowly wander around it taking in all that there is to see. Well worth a visit, do pick a clear day and do take your camera.
