Location a few minutes walk from air terminals and train station (in the terminals). The bed was narrow but comfy with clean linen. The heating system was up to the task, but room very cold at check-in but warm after a couple of hours. Desk and furniture needs replacement as it is beat up quite a bit. The carpet has seen better days. Instant coffee and an electric kettle provided. The bathroom was OK with a deep tub, and a good shower. Towels of medium quality as well as shampoo/shower gel of medium quality. Internet charges are absurdly high - this is a MAJOR flaw for business travelers and seem silly on top of an already expensive room. The shuttle bus service to the airport was clearly inadequate in the morning with long lines and not enough capacity. Walk over to the terminal instead if you are not afraid of crossing the airport roads. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar was OK and the bar food actually quite good albeit expensive. The airport train station is about 10 min walk.

Stayed here with kids in July 2011 and the hotel was perfect (again). Friendly staff and very easy walk to the terminal buildings. For an airport hotel, there was hardly any noise. The car park is always full and this is probably due to cars being left there while the owners are on holiday which is a pain for someone wanting to use the hotel who is not going on holiday! The restaurants were on the pricey side.

Overall the stay was fine, wouldn't say it was luxury but couldn't fault much in the room.

The main reason i'm giving the hotel a 1* is due to the unreasonable charges for car parking - £15 for one night!! I've only paid a little more to leave my car at the airport for a week. A complete joke. Not to mention the car parking barrier was already raised so please check before paying to park. £15 is £15 :)

I did contact the hotel to find out why the charge so much, why it's not included in the stay etc etc to be told tough and they weren't willing to help in anyway e.g a refund. Based on the car parking charge I would not stay here again and urge future guests to ensure its included in your hotel price OR book an alternative airport hotel :)

Stayed here before an early flight the next morning. The hotel is within walking distance for terminal 1 and 3. The rooms are dark, tired and in need of a refresh. Breakfast was expensive, so we avoided and ate in the terminal.

The Crown Plaza Manchester Airport is not the sort of hotel you would actually chose to stay in unless you are taking a flight from Manchester Airport.

The hotel is located very close to the terminal building and train station.

The rooms are small and a little rough around the edges but that is to be expected from such a hotel which has a massive turnover of guests. The hotel has 2 restaurants and lounge area. The gym is pointless but who wants to work out before a flight?

The breakfast is from 0430 – 1030 to accommodate for the early flights which is a great bonus point but I question if the black pudding had been out in the buffet since 0430 when I went for breakfast at 0730, however I did see other fresh hot items being brought out!!!

The hotel is adequate for somewhere to lay your head down before an early flight otherwise there is no real reason to stay at this hotel as it is certainly not the standard of other Crown Plaza Hotels.
