We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, for what was basically a shopping trip! :-)

We had a fantastic stay, the quality of the hotel was very good, clean & very comfortable rooms, excellent service.

The location is excellent just a few minutes walk to the shops & restaurants.

The breakfast selection was very good, something for everyone. We ate in the restaurant one evening and found that it was good quality food & reasonablely priced.

Would definately stay here again and recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Manchester city centre.

I've spent many nights here over recent months on business. The front desk staff are friendly. The rooms are large enough and clean. The beds comfortable. Business hotel during the week. City centre shopping / event hotel at weekend.

Breakfast is very average buffet. Nothing interesting and over-cooked. Evening meals much better, even on room service, but tendency to over season and over-dress. Restaraunt staff seem bored.

Room Tip: Big doubles better than twins

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes’ walk from the restaurants and bars of the Northern Quarter and the Printworks. It’s also very handy for shopping at the Arndale Centre, again only a couple of minutes’ walk. The nearest train station is Victoria, about 5 minutes’ walk, and the nearest Metro is Shudehill, 2 minutes’ walk.

The lobby area of the hotel is quite sparsely furnished but is very clean and modern. We found the reception staff to be very welcoming, courteous and efficient. We did not use the bar or restaurant but again this looked to be immaculate and contemporary in style. Restaurant prices seemed reasonable and they had a very good value Table d’hote menu. But with all the choice of restaurants in Manchester it's just too tempting to want to venture out.

We had a club room on the top floor. Beautifully furnished in contemporary colours with a panoramic floor to ceiling window, a large wall mounted flat-screen TV and nice touches such as a chaise longue. The bathroom was one of the best we'd seen with a separate shower and bath. The room and bathroom were not overly big but perfectly adequate. We had no issues at all with regards to cleanliness which has been noted in previous reviews, and found the whole hotel to be clean throughout.

If you stay in a club room you have full use of the Club Lounge. We found it to be friendly and welcoming unlike some other Club Lounges which can be stuffy and snobbish and you feel you can barely speak. Between 6pm-8pm you are entitled to alcoholic drinks, which you help yourself to, and during this time they bring out various canapés which they are constantly replenishing. A great way to kick start the evening. You have free use of the internet and even the printer, which we found handy for printing a map of the area. You are also entitled to a complimentary continental breakfast but we did not use this so cannot comment.

We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking again.

Top tip - if you are arriving by car there is a private car park just 2 minutes’ walk across the road up Shudehill, which charges just £5 for 24 hours. Look out for the big sign. A bargain for city centre parking!

Room Tip: It has to be a Club Room...well worth paying the extra

Situated in the Northern Quarter, it's about a 10 minute walk to the City Centre. Closer to Arndale, Picadilly and Chinatown than the Library, Convention Centre and Universities. Plenty going on around the hotel in terms of bars and nightlife.

No parking on site but there is an NCP just across the road.

Greeting was good - I was upgraded to an 8th floor Club room which had floor to ceiling glass with great views out to the West. Room was modern, well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was big with bath and separate shower cubicle.

The bar was big and white; restaurant was a bit cramped and breakfast basic.

Service was good and was asked if everything was ok with my stay which is uncommon these days. I think it's a sign that staff are confindent they are doing the best for their guests!

Room Tip: Front of the building if you want the evening sun.
