This is the second time that I have stayed in one of Sarah's cottages; having stayed in the Old Stables last year (another lovely cottage). The Old Brew House has a welcoming vibe to it and feels homely as soon as you enter. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is cosy with a log burner; TV; and a book case full of interesting books, The bedrooms are cosy and relaxing. Despite being only a few steps away from the high street (down a paved walkway and through an old wooden door), the cottage was quiet and relaxing; waking up to the birds singing outside the window was lovely.
Such a great location as well, just a short distance from many great places to visit. Some wonderful places to eat and shop on the high street too.
I'd certainly recommend and would visit again! Thank you Sarah.
We arrived early on 23rd Dec having travelled from West of Scotland and Sarah was most helpful and friendly to try and get us into the cottage as early as possible in spite of time of entry being 3pm. The cottage was really lovely and well equipped. Lovely touches were left for the Christmas stay....a modern tree in the lounge, a Christmas cake, large box of mints and biscotti...all good quality, mainly local products. A lovely, friendly touch. Cottage most peaceful and of a high standard of comfort, furnishings and facilities....cooking a Christmas dinner worked well with the well stocked kitchen which had all the necessary equipment. It was a wonderfully, relaxing, enjoyable stay in a most beautiful village. Access to the back garden was good, to the village great and with our cocker spaniel it was idyllic for her also. Great walks for the dog and us, great gift shops, well stocked supermarkets and lovely pubs/restaurants with much choice. Parking was available and was fine for our size of car. Access to the attached cottages was via the rear and 2 automatic gates. All in all a great break and would love to return.
Half Term break with the kids.
After returning to the Cotswolds for yet another family break we were very pleased with this beautiful property.
Refurbished by the current owner about 4 years ago to a high standard, making this place feel like a home away from home.
All the mod-cons here- to allow a relaxing stay.
The cottage was bright and airy with a good layout. Bedrooms had good beds and plenty of storage places for clothes and such.
Despite coming in autumn the garden was really nice and well kept. The kids loved looking at all the different flowers.
You have direct access to the high street via a walkway which is great to get to the shops and dining out- at the back of the property you can park your car in a private driveway just behind the garden.
There are no parking restrictions on the high street just outside the property so parking there is no problem as well.
Great place, great location- Chipping Campden is one of the few places in the Cotswolds that has a nice evening time scene. Lots of fine dining, pubs, bars and things to do.
Looking forward to a return pretty soon.
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Old Brew House which was made even better by the glorious weather. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and was a very comfortable place to return to after a day exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. The communal gardens are gorgeous and so peaceful; all this right in the centre of Chipping Camden. Looking forward to returning already!
We stayed for Cheltenham race week. It is a beautiful cottage in beautiful settings, just off the main high street. Close by to lovely pubs and restaurants. Although very well equipped for cooking and extremely comfy. We were made to feel very welcome, homemade cake and plant on arrival, we would highly recommend you book if you are looking for a restful break or week away.
