“Glorious Cotswolds Break”
Reviewed 5 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Wonderful location for a short break: comfortable; well-equipped and a delightfully peaceful and private setting. There are numerous great walks from the door and loptds of interesting locations within a 15 minute drive. We loved it.

“Lovely weekend barn surrounded by beautiful countryside”
Reviewed 2 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed for a weekend in April and it was lovely. The barn is beautifully decorated, with two cost seating areas and a small, but thoughtfully equipped, kitchen. The village is lovely with great little restaurants and shops and the surrounding countryside is perfect for long, peaceful walks. Adam and Lisa are very welcoming hosts and provided lots of information about places to go and things to see.

A lovely place for stay and would definitely recommend.

“The most amazing place!”
Reviewed 21 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We have now stayed at the Barn three times - it is the most amazing home away from home and we will certainly return again.

Lisa is so lovely and always goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.

The Barn itself is super cosy (nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa in front of the gas fire) and when the weather is good the lovely garden (with BBQ) comes into its own.

Location is great, quiet and secluded but not far from Chipping Campden, Broadway, etc - there are some great walks close by - 'The Cotswold Way Circular Walks' are amazing - handily there are details of these in the information pack in the Barn.

Could not recommend this place more - already planning our next trip!!!

“The Perfect Place to Stay in the Cotswolds”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Our experience at the Barn at Popfosters couldn't have been more perfect! Although new to Tripadvisor, Lisa has been hosting for over 6 years, and from the stacks of guest books filled with glowing reviews I flipped through, she's made her other guests feel just as welcome!

Lisa is an absolute delight, and I really felt like she went the extra mile to make sure that we were taken care of before we came, and that we were comfortable once we arrived. She was there to answer any of our questions and was extremely attentive to our needs as a family.

We loved the location, as it was 5 minutes from Chipping Campden, but secluded enough that it felt a bit off the beaten path. Given our location, our GPS often routed us on back roads through the most gorgeous scenery rather than sending us on main routes, which we absolutely loved.

It's a cozy, inviting space, and has so many fantastic little details throughout that truly make you feel welcome and pampered. The bedrooms are light and airy, and the living/kitchen area is cozy and quaint. We particularly loved using the gas fireplace when the evenings were a bit chilly, and we can't wait to return and make better use of the gorgeous garden, patio, and BBQ! It's a fantastic value for what is offered, particularly because Lisa is such an amazing host and really provides a personal touch.

We loved being able to park right next to the barn, and the garden off the back of the barn is gorgeous and secluded. The barn is quiet and although there are properties nearby in the little village, it feels so private and secluded. It's absolutely perfect!

We stayed with our three young children (ages 6, 4, and 2), and Lisa did everything she could to ensure that we had everything we needed for our little family, and even provided a lovely hamper filled with breakfast foods. The little village was the perfect size for our little children, and we made the walk to the church and back many times, and absolutely loved the fields of sheep and lambs. It was so scenic! Lisa also recommended the Cotswolds Farm Park, and we absolutely loved it! Normally I try to stay away from themed parks of any kind, but this one was absolutely spectacular with so much for children to do. It really was amazing, and we'd highly recommend it to families with children.

Lisa has a fantastic collection of DVDs, guides to local attractions, and magazines for guests to use, the WIFI is strong and works perfectly, and we have nothing but fantastic things to say about our stay. We can't wait to return and will be happy to recommend this perfect place to our friends and family. Close to some of our Cotswolds favorites, Chipping Campden (5 minutes), Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters, it was the perfect place for us with less than a 20 minute drive. We can't wait to return.

Thank you for a perfect stay, Lisa! We'll be back!

“Wonderful Easter Break”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

"Popfosters" is a beautifully renovated 16th century barn with very good facilities and a lovely garden and its name derives from the fact it used to be the home (many moons ago) of "Pop" Foster.
We stayed at the barn with our 14 month old daughter over the Easter Bank Holiday and had a wonderful time. The barn is well equipped and comfortable, with good cooking facilities, wi-fi, tv and dvd with Sky (inc. Sky Sports - a real bonus), and the bed we slept in (the main bedroom as our daughter slept in a travel cot the owners supplied in the second reception/bedroom) was very comfortable and had a wonderful view over the beautifully kept garden. Overall I would describe the accommodation as being of high standard with nice touches such as a welcome hamper, quality toiletries and linen.
There is parking next to the barn for one vehicle and plenty of on street parking.
The garden is beautiful and ideal for a bbq (there is one on the patio) and would be great on a summer evening (we managed to get one evening on the patio over the Easter weekend so in summer I can imagine it would be fab).
The Seagrave Arms pub is a very short walk away. - we had Sunday Lunch there which was delicious (highly recommended). The lovely village of Chipping Campden is nearby and well worth visiting, as are Stratford upon Avon and Stow on the Wold. There is plenty to do in the area and the barn is well located if you have a vehicle to travel around. There is a great soft play called Imagination Street about 24 miles away in Redditch if you have young children who need to be entertained (we did that one morning and visited Statford on our return to the barn).
We would definitely recommend a stay at Popfosters as we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The owners Adam and Lisa were extremely friendly and welcoming and were really helpful in providing recommendations of where to visit.
