Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Burnt Tree Island. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Tipton’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

The food was so yummy. Staff were wonderful. We had the set Xmas menu and everything was gorgeous! Can't fault it one bit!

Payed 28quid for a kids meal microwave spag bol for my daughter and 2 dead carvery's for me and my partner.
The plate my food was on was So dirty, i wanted to tell the meat carver guy but he was to busy gossiping about his fellow member of staff infront of me which was very unprofessional. The meat portions was tiny and thin. Not impressed at all. If i do return it wont be for a long time and id expect some kind of discount as my first experience was not gd at all. Staff are kind and polite but its not good enough especially if your wasting money eating cra@p. Not what it used to be....
Oh and tobys famous gravy... more like water down cold broth.. not a happy customer.

Tipping down with rain and had to find ticket machine to park!!! Good start.
Pre booked, shown straight to table, staff were excellent. My partner ordered salmon, it was ready when we got to the carvery. However, it was just big enough for my cat.I had pork and beef, I've never had such a small portion in all the years I've gone to Toby pubs. The veg was below anyone's standards , four types of potatoes,no sprouts, no parsnips,no Swede. The plates were stone cold. so dinner was spoilt within minutes. If it was not for the waitress we had, she was fantastic. Very polite and very efficient Toby would not have got two stars.

Thank you Gerry6228 for your review, we are sorry to hear that your recent visit left you less than satisified. In regards to portioning, our salmon is pre-portioned off site, however our friendly waitressing team are always more than happy to bring extra meat to your table if the portion in brought to their attention. In regards to the offerings on the deck, our vegetables are seasonal which unfortunately means that certain types of vegetables are not on offer all year round. Your comments regarding pleates and food wuality however have been passed onto our kitchen manager who will endeavour to address these issues.

nice staff, new decor looks great, long over due. Plate was dirty on the underside, change it for a second plate and that was just the same, It would appear the dishwasher failed to rinse properly. Food was a let down, tasteless , and not very warm, had to leave it on the plate. NOt been for a while because it was so grimy, and although the place has been revamped, the food has gone down hill.

very modern decor, pleasant surroundings, party of 11, for a birthday meal, table together, ordered a starter of cheesy garlic bread, 3 for £5, portion size very good, delectable, enjoyed by all..
sorry to say, it went quickly down hill from there.
we all selected the carvery, plenty of choice, meat and vegetables, we filled our plates, returned to the table, and started to eat, URRRGH....the food was at best, luke warm, and the gravy fared no better, sorry to say, most of the food was left on the plates, after complaining, we were offered apologies, and a discount, which we excepted, but the birthday was spoiled by cold food, and the night ruined...sorry to say, i wont be visiting again...such a shame.

Hello, we do apologise that you felt the food was not hot enough, our deck is regularly probed and rotated. However it is preference as to how hot people want there meals. We do offer to heat food up and check the deck for temperature to make sure it is at a sufficient point.

Many Thanks
