Stopped at this hotel for two nights as it is close to Black Country Museum ( 40s weekend). On arrival we were booked in all ok came down for a drink and to book dinner only to be told they had not got the staff for the bar or dining room ( no mention of this on booking in), the only place to eat is along a busy main road. During the night a argument in a room close by woke us up, I rang reception, after several minuets it was answered and when I explained the phone was slammed down on me. in the morning I complained to reception but nothing was done. On arriving home after the disastrous two days I wrote to the hotel group who said they would investigate. I did get a reply direct from the hotel but that was just a load of excuses and no real apology. I could say a lot more just do not use this hotel

Room Tip: Just don't stay in any room

Stayed here over the weekend and must say I was appalled by the shabby and outdated interior but it was the breakfast that really took thee biscuit. There had been a wedding on the Friday and for some unknown reason the staff couldn't seem to cope at all .The breakfast on Saturday morning was shambolic no bread ,cereal or fruit and worst of all was the hot food with sausages that smelled like week old rags and the person serving dipping her finger into the beans to check if they were warm. OH MY GOD why would anyone do that its disgusting and she should be reported to the Environmental health agency. The rooms were tatty with filthy carpets and filthy curtains and we never had the sheets changed during our stay. Never again

Attended a 25th wedding anniversary celebration. Room was adequate. My 10yr old son slipped in the bath whilst having a shower, as I did. Reception staff were rude, unhelpful and stand-offish. Need to attend customer service, and Equality and Diversity course. Bartender (both the female and male), came across as if we, the guests (customers) were a nuisance, and had no energy to serve, let alone with a smile. At breakfast was told items will be replenished, instead after waiting half an hour, the shutters were pulled down and the lights switched off, only managed to get one sausage. Unbelievable unacceptable behavior. Overall, the only person who was helpful and polite was the female Chef on duty, lovely Asian lady. The whole of our group staying over was approximately 15 people, all of whom took the guest compliant forms to submit. Not holding my breath for anything to be done, however, will NEVER return to this hotel.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was there was only one pillow each. Although the bar was closed when we got back the bar staff were still there and we did manage to buy a bottle of wine of them. The road is busy so we couldn't have the windows open because of the traffic and this made the room a bit stuffy.

Room Tip: It is on a main road so if you don't like traffic ask for a bedroom not on the road.
