We have just returned from this delightful place, full of character and style in the centre of Lancaster. Greeted warmly and asked if we wanted help with our luggage to the first floor. The twin room we had was lovely, beautifully done out. Complimentary water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and a mini flask of milk upon request from the bar. Beds very comfortable, I asked for an extra pillow and this was received promptly. Bathroom was small but a plus was the powerful shower. There were only two small shampoos and a hand soap so you will need to take other items. All staff were polite and kind. Breakfast was great, a lot of options served in a spacious dining area. Very tasty indeed. Limited parking at the property but a large car park across the road. My fiancée was equally impressed with our stay. Well done to the manager and all of the staff-keep up the good work and thank you!

Hotel has bags of character, Disabled room was good. Very large bathroom. Fresh milk for tea etc! The electrics were a bit confusing but staff were very helpful in sorting problems. Excellent beer but a bit pricey at £3.80 a pint. Weatherspoons only 5 minutes walk away. Nice food including vegetarian options. Best thing was the staff; so helpful and friendly.

Overall a really nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable with polite and friendly staff. Rooms were very nice and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately the only thing that let this place down massively was the English breakfast which was very poor, everything on the plate seemed like it had been reheated which put us off. There were no serving Tongs with the ctossaunts and likewise with the bread for toasting. I saw one lady picking her teeth then putting her hands in the bread to grab some. It really put us off. My daughted ate most of her breakfast because she was really hungry, it came straight back up.

Being here a few times. Had pork & haggis rissoles for starters followed by lamb shoulder with creamy mash & mange toute. Loads of delicious lamb. Service was excellent & the Wainright beer was sumptuous.

Great value at £89 for 4
