A nice building in a very quaint village. The extensive menu was a surprise as was the fantastic service from the moment we entered the pub. watercress soup, my favourite made a great starter even on a hot morning. I then had the roast beef. Excellent with even great roast potatoes whilst my wife enjoyed a huge portion of gluten free cod and chips. Nice wines and an excellent meal in a delightful thatched pub.

Many thanks for your review. Our lovely Cotswold village pub is fast building a reputation for delicious, lovingly prepared food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Sunday lunches are proving to be especially popular, as are many other dishes including gluten-free and vegan food.

Lunch with friends, the Gardeners Arms was a pub halfway for us all. What a brilliant choice! The staff were so welcoming, we all chose a different meal and all choices were brilliant, really tasty. On the way out they even had a book stand where you could either swap a book or choose one and make a donation, a fab idea.

We will be returning very soon, I would recommend the Gardeners without hesitation.

Thank Jenny R

Popped in here on our way home from holiday for a quick lunch.
Lovely pub, stylish, clean and welcoming.
Head barman was perfect, food was very tasty and well made from scratch I would say, quick too! Family and pet friendly.
Far better than many pubs, they are obviously trying to impress every time, would highly recommend, don't hesitate to go in!

The staff were really friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for food as it was very busy. The roasts on the whole were pretty good, some of the vegan options weren't available but an acceptable alternative was offered. Sticky toffee pudding (IMO) with no cream or ice cream is not a proper dessert - to have to pay extra is a bit off. The vegan sticky toffee had nowhere near enough sauce especially compared to the non vegan one. The menu also doesn't make it clear that there is a vegan and non-vegan version - luckily one vegan on our table specifically said vegan otherwise they wouldn't have been able to eat it.

Many thanks for your review. We value all the feedback our customers give us. I’m glad you enjoyed your roast lunch and the service provided by our staff. Our reputation for serving delicious, quality vegan food is growing fast. So, on occasion, a small number of vegan dishes have been unavailable. Rest assured however that we are taking steps to address this, as well as the other comments you raised. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Called in on our way to Gloucester for lunch. I had homemade burger and oh had asparagus with bacon and hollandaise sauce and poached egg.
The food came and was lovely and hot. It was delicious. Our only critique would be that the food came on slates and wooden boards which proved very difficult to eat from when tackling a runny egg.
The landlord came and asked us if everything was ok so i mentioned the food running off the plate problem. He was a lovely chap and agreed that it had been mentioned before and he was going to send feedback to the kitchen.
How lovely to have a landlord that listens to their customer and hopefully will act on our critique. Some other landlords need to do the same.
All in all we would return .
Lovely fresh food served hot and a friendly landlord
