Came across the newly opened Mexican restaurant Cocina yesterday whilst looking for somewhere good to eat.
This place was buzzing. Loved the music. Well put together, good concept. Staff worked very hard and were extremely friendly - as soon as a table emptied, it was cleaned immediately ready for the next customers.
It does have a few little niggles that need to be worked on - the main one being the food wait time. The food itself is cooked fresh and tasted fantastic - the restaurant's only been open 2 weeks and was full.
The toilet is upstairs so would be an issue for wheelchair users. It is also not really signed. It's unisex and for the size of restaurant there really needs to be a minimum of 2.
One point though, I started reading the fire rules posted on the toilet door whilst waiting. It refers to a fire exist upstairs through the door - as there are 3 doors and a corridor and whilst I hope it never has to be used, this sign does need to be clearer!
A fantastic meal, will definitely be back.
