Good place to go and bowl with the family. The food could be a lot better but over all I think it was good.

We came with group(2 kids mum dad, aunt and grandad) for 2 rounds of bowling ( £70+). You have to ask if you want proper bowling shoes and the staff are not the cheeriest bunch. The bowling was ok just really crowded and the balls had seen better days and I have seen better selections. The food was as to be expected but took a while to arrive. The sports screens showing the football were not that great and sound was off although you wouldn't have heard anything with the back ground noise. All In all expensive loud with not the greatest customer service but they are the only bowling place around

So the "Dorking Inspector" has been to Hollywood Bowl in Crawley on the 1st and 2nd April 2018. What a surprise to see the complete refurb of the centre. I must admit it has been a while since we went last, and that was due to how it was looking beforehand. Gone have the disco laser lights, changing lane lights. In with the great ultra-violet lighting, colour-coded pins and touch screen technology which makes entering the bowlers name a lot easier! There are now booths to sit in close to the lanes and the bar area has been upgraded. Gone have bowling shoes (which always was a pain) and you can use your own shoes - The centre will check your shoes if you are unsure. There are bowling shoes if you do want to change (or have to) Lanes 25/26 are VIP lanes. You pay a bit more for the use, but it great for a team event. The cost includes drinks, nibbles and waiter service. The lanes are decorated with red curtains and you get the "Hollywood feel" Arriving at the centre early? Don't worry, you are given a device that will vibrate and flash when your time to bowl arrives (same as some restaurants) so you can go away and come back later. You can book on line, or phone. Having done both, I can say that both were very easy. Booking over the phone they work out the best deal for your party. There are pool tables available and an arcade where family can go and win paper tickets and trade them in for prizes. At the other end of the bar is the "Diner" where food and drinks can be ordered. (burgers, chips etc) It is worth booking your drinks/food at the the time of the booking as they ae slightly cheaper. Bowling: With the coloured pins that glow under the ultra-violet lights makes for more fun. The scoring system is easy to setup as each lane now has a touch screen that you can add the bowlers names.gutter bumpers can be set up easily and cradles for the little ones are on each lane. Music isnt too loud, and gone has the "jukebox". Music is good. One thing I noticed that the "PIN DOWN" or "JAM ON LANE...." announcements have gone. We didn't hear that in the hours we were there. So they have invested in good technology.
Overall. A massive step in the right direction in offering the full package of entertainment for the family.

Cracking little bowling alley. Hadn’t been to a Hollywood Bowl before and was pleasantly surprised. Fairly decently priced and the set up with the tablet on each lane worked well. No messing around entering the players details, tap away on the tablet and your all set.

This bowling alley is family friendly & great for kiddliwinks.
Their arcade games are not always working.
They do not have a lot of games for little ones like 3/4 - they are have a lot of shooting & driving games.
We come along at least once a month.
