Stayed here for 4 nights, room spotless and very comfortable, only minor faults were lighting is very dark in the rooms and no grab rails in bathroom.Ben on reception is an absolute delight, very friendly and helpful,we ate once at the pub next door and found the food very overpriced, small portions and bland.

We booked early so got a good price for three nights, included breakfast, well worth it with two kids eating free. Room was nice, but worn in places but absolutely fine, the receptionist did state it was having a full refurb in September. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice, although no smoothie as advertised on any of our days, they said they had an issue with the supplier. The only problem me and my daughter found were the smell of the towels. She described them as like the cheesy quavers factory, had them changed every day and they were all the same. Never had this issue at any other premier inns before. Would definitely stay again. Good stopover place on route south.

The room itself was generally of a good condition and clean. The air conditioning unit was largely ineffective despite the loud noise it emitted. The bathroom was a decent size and clean. The stairs were very loud and not the most stable and the lift made a lot of worrying noise on the way up with only 2 people in it, we avoided it for the rest of our stay!
The food was fairly good, particularly the breakfast (it's worth paying for the full breakfast!)
Overall a decent hotel but needs a bit of tlc to bring it up to scratch.

I have stayed in many premier inns and this was not up to standard. The bed was small, not the big one as advertised and the handle on the bathroom door was broken so the door was really heavy to push open. It was also a bit noisy.

Nice hotel, room was clean and bed was comfortable, shame about the lift not working, only got the email about that a couple of days before, good breakfast at the adjacent inn ( the usual good premier inn quality ).
