Stayed here for one Saturday night whilst visiting family, 5 of us in 2 rooms. Room very clean.
Seemed as if every member of staff was receiving training so didn’t know what they were doing.
Had our evening meal in the offer for £12 but waited almost an hour even though we were the only people eating in the restaurant. Again the staff members didn’t know how to process it through the till and we were also asked to change our starters due to them not having the stock.
Lovely nights stay, room clean and tidy, beds comfy.
The breakfast was extremely poor. The hot plate area was very small and so they were unable to keep up with the demand, despite the restaurant not being full.
We waited over 20 minutes for bacon, sausage and hash browns, which by this point the rest of the breakfast we’d put on our plate had gone cold.
The chef then proceeded to tell us that they were going as fast as they could but were training a chef and couldn’t keep up with the demand.
Our table also got cleared away whilst waiting for breakfast so we had to re do our drinks etc.
Would stay here again but would not recommended the food to anyone. Shops are less than 20 minutes walk with plenty of places to eat so go out instead.More
