My partner and i had a joint 70 birthday party in the Hawtery Restaurant, excellent service and a very comfortable room in Deans Lodge ,with a jacuzzi bath, multi-shower arrangement ,a tv in the bedroom and a large flat screen tv in the lounge ,very attentive service though out the meal, making sure that everybody was happy and comfortable, we had 4 children with us and they had there own al la carte menu which l thought was a amazing.they thoroughly enjoyed themselves the head waiter made sure they were served first, the adults had some bottles of very good wine,a good time was had by all.

Room tip: Dean,s Lodge ,excellent ,close to restaurant and bar.

Paid for my wife & her friend for afternoon tea. Waiter forgot that they were there to start with & when the afternoon tea arrived there was only ONE sandwich cut into quarters! Along with the cakes. Charged £7 each for a glass of champagne.
Very poor value for money.

Firstly, this location scores highly being very close to Ruislip Underground and easy access to Central London. There is even a Waitrose within easy walking distance. A second big plus is the historic nature of the Sherley's Farmhouse dating back to the 16th century; we were allocated the Catherine Parr room which exuded character and charm. It is a very old building so you may have issues with low ceilings and uneven floors and doors, but actually we loved it, such a refreshing change from corporate blandness. Our only main issue was the bathroom, which is a generous size, but on this visit the shower didn't work and the jets in the spa bath didn't function. You can still have a nice bath but we felt that it was a let-down from that advertised, and it would have been better to have a simpler option that worked eg a nice roll top bath without complicated frills. Still the room was comfortable, clean and surprisingly quiet given the location. Breakfasts were fine and the staff were very courteous. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, appreciated the historic quirkiness, but also felt the hotel had the potential to be something really special.

Room tip: Sherley's Farm rooms score for atmosphere and ambience

Thank you for your kind and positive review, we are extremely fortunate to be built around a significant historic building, it is so refreshing to receive comments from guests that can really appreciate the quaint and charming Sherley's Farmhouse. I really appreciate your comments regarding the bathroom and it maybe something we will consider for the future. I am pleased you had an enjoyable stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

What a lovely hotel. Checked into the last room to find it occupied. Receptionist really helpful and apologetic, no need it's ok although the laptop looked cool in the room. Got upgraded to a super suite with the most epic bathroom I have seen. Lively chicken pie for dinner in a lovely relaxed bar. Great hotel, what a boost on a school night. Thank you 'the barn'

We recently stayed for one night at the Barn whilst visiting friends.
This place is 5 minutes from Ruslip high street and has free car parking spaces. Rooms were decent size, clean and welcoming staff. We would gladly return.
