Not a bad day out here, there’s a short walk in the woods at the front of the house and a play area for children as well as a maze.

The food in the cafe is good and you have to pay if you would like to view the house.

You also need to pay to see the birds of prey, but the guided tour of the birds isworth it and you get the opportunity to hold one.

This house is about 20 mins drive south of Dublin, near the Wicklow mountains. It is a beautiful house with magnificent gardens. Many people that don't want to actually visit the house, just walk and enjoy the gardens around it for free.
The house is beautiful and takes you back into the recent history of Ireland through its splendor. It also shows how this part of Irish society lived back in those years. A true contrast of the average citizen back then.

This is one of the grandest houses in Ireland, built in mid XVIII century. Beautiful collection of Old Masters: Rubens, Goya, Vermeer, etc. The best art museum in Ireland.

We were three generations on a cold Saturday in November. The house was unfortunately closed for renovations but there was still lots to entrall everyone. The maze was challenging, the Jungle Gym different and better than most and the Craft Studios interesting. But the star attraction for everyone were the Birds of Prey where the guides were particularly knowledgable and patient to make everyones visit memorable. The rain prevented flying demos but we were given a voucher to return another day without charge. The Walled Garden, Arboretum and Fairy Glen are more specific interests and not yet approaching "best in class".

Myself and my family went here for the Halloween attraction. Really well organised and well thought out with decor. This was 7€ for my Daughter and nothing for the adults to attend unlike other things in the area. She got to decorate her cookie and story telling, face painting. Hot choc and a treat all this for this price is fantastic. We took a walk in the fairy trail, this was beautiful, what a beautiful place. This place is a must. Only 2€ to park. Love it, I will be back
