I am afraid I have to start off on a negative point, this property is impossible to find from the given directions and has no sat nav references, but the owners are aware of this (the directions are provided by the management company not the owners) and are just a phone call away for help. Also be aware that access is via a farm track.
That said, the accommodation is absolutely charming consisting of a very large living room/ bedroom with a lovely wooden floor and still retains the original bare stone walls, while a good sized kitchen/diner and a spacious bathroom are in a more recent extension at the rear. The property also has a log burner which we loved, with logs or peat being readily available. There is also full oil fired central heating and plenty of instant hot water.
Outside the property is a converted stable set in a traditional farmyard (complete with hens) surrounded by open countryside and as you would imagine very quiet.
Despite its seclusion there is a large Tesco just 5 minutes away and the town of New Ross 5 minutes on from that. The ferry terminal at Rosslare is a short 45 minutes away and the towns of Wexford, Waterford and Cork are all within easy reach.
All in all, we would not hesitate to recommend this property, we stayed over Christmas and there was even a Christmas tree set up. Oh. And its pet friendly too.
