Westport is a fantastic place to have an active holiday and we were made most welcome by Julia and her family. Her son even lent us a spare surfboard. The house is spacious, clean and homely with an unbelievable view of Croagh Patrick from the kitchen window. It's a tricky house to find but turn right at the petrol station when coming out of Westport and you'll be fine. The welcome Brack cake was extremely good, particularly in picnics!
Good size bedrooms, comfy beds.
Well equipped cottage, large living areas. Very clean and well maintained.
Very helpful hosts.
Westport and district well worth a visit.
Frank and Julia were excellent hosts and the cottage was ideal for our weeks stay. Beds were really comfortable, location good (2 minute walk to shop at garage)and beautiful views. The kids were desperate for WiFi after a week though!
We had a lovely week here with 3 young kids, the house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful all in all a great week and we would definitely recommend to family and friends.
On the positive side the owners are friendly and welcoming and the house is very spacious and clean. On the negative side it was lacking in a few basics - a shortage of pots, no teapot, no spatula etc and a few irritating things like that. It is also a little out of town, although it's just a short taxi ride. But considering its limitations, €350 for 2 nights seemed excessive.
