We left it late to book hotel accommodation in Westport as Gale-force and a pilgrimage were on the same weekend and luckily so as we found this fabulous house for rent in a stunning location looking out over Clew Bay. The House has 4 bedrooms all en-suite which have plenty of room and the living and kitchen area is very spacious with stunning views of Clew bay across to Mulranney. The Local Pub (Staunton's) is 500 yards away and does a very nice Guinness (Food also but didn't try). Westport town is 10K away and has everything you need while on holiday (Taxi for 8 people is 25-30 euro) and the local restaurant the Tavern is 2k away in Murrisk and is a great spot for food. Cant wait to return for some more R&R.

A family member rented this house for a week so I was invited to visit and was I glad I did...A beautiful new property, fully furnished with what I felt was an Italian influence. The view from the large patio of clew bay across to Achill is stunning. There is a relaxed feel to this large house which has four bedrooms, all with en-suite and a seperate jacuzzi bath room for relaxing after the long hike up Croagh Patrick, which can be seen from the side of the house. It is private and secluded from the main road. The house has a large well equipped kitchen with a dining table. It is in close proximity to both Westport and Louisburg with ample pubs that serve food close by. I feel there is a small bit of work to be done here as the the garden is unfinished however this does not take away from this stunning property. I would certainly like to return to this lovely house in the future.
