Description: The restaurant is owned by Strasbourg-born Chef Thomas, and Deirdre, who is from Co. Limerick and runs front of house. In the years since opening, The French Table has gone from strength to strength, quickly becoming recognised as one of Limerick’s best and most consistent restaurants by diners and critics alike, and renowned for its authentic Gallic cuisine. Our passion is serving fresh French cuisine using the very best locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, and delivering a truly French dining experience. Thomas’ knowledge and expertise coupled with his inherent French flair culminates in classic French dishes created with contemporary twists that are big on flavour. Service at The French Table is relaxed and friendly, providing our customers with an enjoyable dining experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The French Table really does have it all.

This is a genuine French restaurant situated along the banks of the Shannon in the recently renovated quayside in Limerick city. The views out over the river alone merit a visit. The fixed price set dinner menu was of a style and quality that one would encounter in a similar establishment in France. The staff were warm welcoming and efficient. The wine list was sensible brief with an excellent selection from all major French regions. Make an excuse to visit here and you will not be disappointed.

Food was ok, service was good, nothing special here but it's not worth the money you pay for it, it's a very very expensive restaurant.... the best dish here is the rabbit(you have to try this if you come here because this is the only main course I found it good I would say).
while waiting there were some crisps on the table, I found it taste really good and the bread with butter it comes later aswell.

First time here and impressed by the menu and service. A very uniquely French menu and optimising local and sourced products. This is a notch above the rest.

Bland, middle of the road, over-priced food. Avoid!! All dishes served up with bland portions of potatoes and vegetables. Do yourself a favour and get some tastier pub-grub!!!
