My wife visited Killarney in early August during a week and a half long visit of Ireland. It was a Wednesday night, around 7:45pm, and places to eat were filling up fast. As we stepped inside the restaurant portion - we could see there was no room for even two more people.
They kindly suggested the connecting pub - with the same menu. It was only luck that a couple was leaving at the same time we need a table, but it was perfect. This place seemed to be packed with both locals and tourists. It felt authentic, and added to our love of this quaint little town.
We started with a cup of the seafood chowder and soda bread, and then both opted to get the fish n chips...at least one while in Ireland. Everything was really good, and the service was great - even with how busy they were.

Our party of 15 had reservations and enjoyed a 3 course dinner. The appetizers were huge. The Caesar salad was actually chicken Caesar salad and it was a meal in of itself. The fish and chips were good and the sampler dessert was tasty.

What a great (little) restaurant
Plenty of atmosphere
Two young girls outside on the street playing Irish music
Plenty of local history surrounds this eatery
Gluten free meals aplenty
Staff knowledgeable and friendly
If you are GF or just love Irish fooD
It’s a must!

From outside it looks up market and inside it’s much more old style. Staff were on point to assist when we walked in the door yet left us felt rushed towards the end of the meal It’s a very busy place. Pints weren’t too bad. Food is good but all in all it’s expensive for what you get. Pepper sauce. was like something from a packet you’d pick up in your local shop.

We enjoyed our dinner here. Our entrees (fish and chips, and salmon) were a good size, cooked perfectly, and delicious. Service was friendly, and quick but not rushed. We would definitely return.
