This is a gem of a restaurant. Very cosy with lovely atmosphere. We all had the same main course which was simply delicous. The waiter couldn’t have been more charming and polite. The problem came with one of the starters ordered. Avocado mousse with prawn cocktail and smoked salmon. We noticed before eating it that the avacado mousse was missing and questioned the waitress about it…her reply was simply yes it is missing. It was replaced by 2 small slices of avacdo. We then realised the smoked salmon was also missing …..the answer to that was yes, sorry, I’ll knock a couple of euros off the bill. We made it clear we didn’t really think that was enough since we’d not have ordered the dish had it simply been prawn cocktail. She told us she couldn’t reduce the price anymore and we ought not to have eaten the prawns if we weren’t happy!! We would have returned to this restaurant but felt the customer service was not good at all…in fact I’d call this waitress ‘rude’. Such a shame .

We were celebrating a birthday in la cave restaurant and had the most wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent we had goats cheese which was amazing and a great ravioli. Our waiter long was so helpful with his food and wine recommendations. The decor is fantastic and the ambience was relaxed. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back

What an experience! The best meal I've had since I can remember. Excellent food, excellent wines, excellent service - I can't recommend it enough. And if you make it to the early bird service, it is ridiculously affordable for such a fantastic meal.

Snuck into a downstairs "cave" this restaurant is in the middle of a very touristy area, but it did not feel that way at all. Service was excellent and the food (I got the venison) was delicious and there was plenty of it. Waitress made a special effort to get us seated even though we did not have a reservation. I did not see anyone turned away, but the place was almost filled, but not too loud. I would recommend a reservation - the place is not that big!
