Blooms hotel cancelled our booking leaving us without accommodation. Luckily found this hotel at reasonable rates. Rooms were clean and made a great base for exploring the city. Only a few minute walk to temple bar which made it ideal as a fair few of the accommodations are actually on temple bar and can be very rowdy. Rooms were hot but fans were offered and although you could hear some street noise from the bar below (we did have the windows open) they did provide foam ear plugs which was a nice touch. Receptionist was lovely and had a laugh with us, did her best to get us booked in quickly and with ease after our nightmare with blooms! Had the most amazing steak on the stone from their pub - melt in your mouth! Check out at 12- ideal for those late start mornings after a night out.

Stayed in this hotel for two different nights with a tour sandwiched in between. First of all the location is perfect for accessing all of the sights on the south side of the Liffey river. It is located one block off of Temple Bar. The staff was extremely friendly.

Now for the rooms. Our room was located on the Dame street side, room 305. All of the reviews complaining about the noise are true. Between the bands playing, the bars sorting out there bottles and the auto traffic and horns, the noise for me was unacceptable. I'm a heavy sleeper, but even with the ear plugs supplied by the hotel on the rooms, I don't think I slept more than an hour. Additionally, I told the desk clerk that 50% of the water from the shower head was spraying over the ceiling, over the curtain, etc. I'm assuming that got fixed.

When I checked out, I asked that my next room be located in the rear of the building when I returned in a few days. However, I was given a room two doors down from my previous room on the side of the building. It was bearable as long as I used the supplied ear plugs. The shower in this room worked fine, but the accordion shower doors are a tight fit someone with a few extra pounds.

Take what you will from thus review, but please be aware of one thing. When I reviewed something previously ( in no way having anything to do with this hotel that I am now reviewing), the owner's response was false. I asked trip advisor to please let me edit/rebut the response, but they did not respond to me. So just be aware that every response may not be completely accurate so use your best judgement. That is why I have only recently started doing reviews again.

Thank you for your feedback. At Dublin Citi hotel we give our customers top priority. We are glad you had a pleasant stay at our hotel apart of mentions issues, we are sorry that we only have rooms fronting dame street otherwise we would be able to fulfil your request.

Being located amidst the busy streets and central locale of Dublin, Dublin Citi Hotel has a lot of advantages coupled with some disadvantageous. The weekends tend to be noisy due to the crowd on the streets. The weekdays are much calmer.

As everyone says the location of this hotel is just perfect. It's right on temple bar and so easy to access everything around it. It's only a 20-30 minute walk from the Guinness Storehouse also. Lots of pubs and resteraunts right on the door step.
It is however above a lively pub so if you don't want to eat music at night it might not be the best place for you. That being said, it isn't that loud and I was only one floor up from the pub.
It's ok inside, not amazing, not perfect but for the price and location the rooms are just fine for the short time you spend on them.
