It’s a small zoo in the number of animals it has but the enclosures are excellently tailored to the animals. Looks like a great day out for the youngest children. Not too expensive as zoos go but if you are going to go multiple times get a pass.

Nice day trip for families, busy enough. If parking, expect a fair walk. Book online to speed up entry.

Expensive if you are paying full price(we got student tickets). Parking is awful, cars abandoned everywhere, even blocking the footpaths surrounding the zoo. Needs parking attendants.

Inside the zoo, the refurb really makes a difference compared to when I went as a kid. The far right part of the zoo needs an overhaul as it's the same with the same enclosures. Basically just a path.

Needs more restaurants. Costa cafe is horrifically over priced so bring a packed lunch!

Long queues at the toilets also.

Despite the above, it's a great day out and enjoyed it. Weather helped also!

Had a great time here today with my 2 year old daughter. Parking was a bit difficult so I recommend getting in early if you’re driving. Bring your own food if you want something healthy, otherwise the fast food and vending machines are aplenty. Great exhibits and habitats. Most impressed with the FIVE rhinos, elephants and the giraffes. No need to wait in line to see them from an angle either, plenty of viewing area with no obstructions. Gift shop could be bigger as moving around in there with a buggy was a nightmare.
