We stayed at the hostel in May 2016. The staff was great and the breakfast was OK, and contrary to what is stated here we did have good wifi reception in our room.
The hostel is a 15 minute walk from Temple Bar, which is great because you can easily get there and also you're not stuck inside all the noise and mess of the city center.

The only downsides are the fact that there's hot water only between 6-10 AM and 6-10 PM (which is actually not that terrible), and the squeaky floor that makes you hear every step somebody makes above or below you, so it isn't recommended if your sleep is not so deep...

Harrington House Hostel is best budget place to stay in Dublin. It's nice and clean, friendly staff, very well located near the center of Dublin. Direct link to he Dublin Airport, bus 16. Now, WiFi in the rooms is no more of a problem, as I saw in an older review.

Wi-fi did not work in the room, it was rather cold there, and the guy at the reception charged my Russian-issue card in roubles despite my mentioning that the currency of the account is euro, and I lost about 7% of the room price due to back-and-forth currency conversions.

Not very welcome and didn't give us additional information about the rooms. We only found out the second day we couldn't shower after 10am. We had to wait until 6pm for hot water. They only gave us one towel and at the end of our stay it was cold and wet. The nights were very cold, the blanket very thin, and the warm water in the shower didn't really get warm. I slept with my wintercoat on. The shower needs to be fixed because it's leaking and only produced enough water to shower my arm. The lady did not let us leave our bags at the hostel the last day so we had to carry around our bags through town for 10 hours. Poor customer service. They did provide free breakfast but it only includes toast and coffee. Not something I would get out of bed for. The beds are not really comfortable but we could watch tv for free. The rooms are very small but it's good for a couple of days if you are out all the time. They do give information about busses and the city if you ask. All the people who stayed here were young but not really looking for interaction with others. The hostel was very quiet and we didn't notice the traffic. The distance to the center was really nice because we could walk there and didn't have to spend money on the bus. There are alot of bars and shops very close to the hostel. Our room had a nice view over the church across the street.
