Obviously this hotel has made major improvements since some of the earlier reviews. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. Our room was on the top floor so we avoided most of the base beat of the club and it was so comfortable.. Huge bed, classy decor and great products. The coffee machine is a nice touch. We loved the bar and the breakfast was excellent.

The location of the hotel is excellent. A bus stop right outside or a short walk into St Stephens Green. There is no car parking available with the hotel but on street parking is available just round the corner. The rooms were of a decent size and well presented.

On arrival back to the hotel the nightclub was in full flow, so maybe not the best place to go with a young family at the weekend.

Breakfast has a decent selection which is freshly prepared and served by the waiting staff.

I would stay here again

These are nice rooms in a great location in a great city. They may be small rooms, but it has everything you will need and the large bed is crying out to be slept in and is as comfy a bed as you could ask for. Unfortunately the noise from the nightclub outside will mean you will never know how good a bed it is, or how good a nights sleep it will give you. To have such a perfect bed next to an all night rave is perverse and cruel. To give you an idea of the noise level, when an internal alarm went off in the hotel around midnight, it was marginally less annoying than the nightclub music, and in fact made a welcome change of rhythm to the drum and base drifting through the walls.

Hi Bexyl,

I'd firstly like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. As we are a new hotel, all feedback is very much appreciated, both positive and negative. We sincerely apologise for your disappointment in your first stay with us. As we are only in our infancy we have been experiencing some teething problems. We have of course taken on board your feedback.

We do hope that you would return to stay with us in the future and receive the experience you should have received initially. Many thanks once again.

Warmest regards,

Had a lovely weekend at the leeson lodge - easy to get to from airport and everyone was friendly - within walking distance of everything - great wee place !
The room was clean if a little outdated but at the price compared to the rest of the prices in the area it's brilliant !

Stayed for 3 nights to see in the New Year. Hotel is well located about a mile from St Stephens Green. the room was large but very dated, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and sheets a good quality. Big groan about the towels. Size of a hanky.....
Room got very warm so we had to open the window and there was a wooden prop provided for this so obviously a common complaint. Tea and coffee and biscuits provided. We received a voucher for a complimentary breakfast - so we tried it, at €12 per person - it wasn't really worth a second trip - so we didn't go again. Generally everything you needed here with a friendly reception service - when it was open. this is really a guest house rather than a hotel but for the price paid it did ok. We had a superior double room, so may be worth upgrading to this for the best experience.

Room Tip: upgrade to the double sauna room
