stayed here for 4 night altogether... 2 night in a 4 bed dorm which was pretty awful- small room with 1 window that you can only access from 1 of the beds- worst night I had in any hostel because one of the roommates had his towel up to dry with the window closed and we couldn't breathe because the smell was so bad and the room was so stuffy... we spent another 2 nights in a 12 bed dorm which was great! very spacious, lots of windows, so plenty of light and air...
Huge hostel! so if you don't like too many people around this is probably not the spot for you (although I'm not sure you could find anything much better in such a central city)...
Breakfast was free and nice... free computers for guest use...
Pretty decent overall....

Room Tip: In the 12 bed dorm we stayed in there was a loft which was separated into 2 niches and is like a pri...

I booked a single room. The room I was given (106) was actually a rather odd four bed dorm. It had a bunk bed and a mezzanine. The itty bitty wet room was fine for me and very clean - but so cramped (you would need to shower on the loo - that I wouldn't want to be sharing it with three others. The room was very cold (and it is August!) due to there being no ceilings. But all of this is not the problem.

The problem is the noise! The noise coming through the floor from the communal rooms all night. The noise in the corridors. The noise from the smokers and drinkers round the front door. I've stayed in a lot of hostels in Ireland and never had this problem. You'd probably get more sleep in Temple Bar!

Otherwise the hostel looks good - lots of space downstairs, free wifi and six connected comps, okay breakfast, pool table, kitchen ... if you were checking in simply for an evening and then sleeping elsewhere it would be grand!

Room Tip: I'd imagine that you would want to be on the top floor away from some of the noise and closer to...

Stayed for 2 nights in a twin room, room was clean, shared showers were also clean. Excellent location walking distance from all the main places but also far enough away to not be too noisy. Breakfast was basic (toast and jam/cereals/tea or coffee) but free so wasn't expecting anything amazing. reception were friendly and helpful at check in, nothing amazing but everything we needed.

Hostel is big and bustling with an excellent cafe attached at the front serving what we thought was Europe's best coffee. We were in a 12 bed dorm but the room was loft style and huge, room enough to throw a party almost! The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of air and light so no complaints there. The kitchen was huge, at least 3 separate sinks and ovens. The kitchen didn't appear to have been cleaned the 4 days we were there and considering how big the hostel is and how many guests, it got pretty filthy. The bathrooms were a disgrace, which was disappointing considering how good the rest of the hostel was. We avoiding being in them as much as possible!! There is a cafe at the front, reasonable prices and top baristas, made our stay worth while as we are coffee snobs!! I would go back, even if the bathrooms were bad!! The wifi in the common rooms was not good enough to Skype, only browse the net.

Three of us stayed in this hostel for two nights. Overall a wonderful hostel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The showers were very powerful left you feeling refreshed, unlike some hostels that drip water. I would recommended this place to everyone!

Room Tip: You can pick how many people in your room!
