The Fishing Village of Howth overlooked by its East &West Mountain. Its a beautiful place on Dublins East Coast. A coastal path from Sutton will take the walker around its Red Rock on a winding path to the summit. It is a long but beautiful walk with panoramic views over Dublin Bay. The Bailey Lighthouse marks the summit and you can stop there at the Summit Pub for wonderful food and drink. Looking North West from the Summit Pub on a clear day you will see the Mountains of Mourne. Afterwards there is a path down through the center of the island to the harbour. The DART Trains go directly into the harbour. Bus number 31 from city centre in Dublin takes you to Howth Summit. The views from Howth are tremendous especially from Deerpark at Howth Castle which is open to the public. Have an Ice Cream in the Harbour while you watch Trawlers unload daily catch surrounded by a family of Seals.
