Eaton Square Restaurant
Ranked #990 of 2,807 Restaurants in Dublin
Price range: USD 6 - USD 29
Description: Eaton Square Restaurant Terenure is the brainchild of two best friends. Seán the manager and Ronan the chef. They wanted to open a place that made everything from scratch using Irish produce. A restaurant with Seán choosing great tasting inexpensive wines, to go with the wholesome delicious food. And so Eaton Square was born. Great food, no pomp.

Dropped in late Saturday evening and they where able to accommodate both of us. Service was attentive surrounding was nice. Food was fresh and tasty and the wine was just as nice. Both of us ordered fish which was lovely. However the dinner menu lacks choice for the non fish eater. We will be back and try lunch or brunch.

Fish was terrible - like it had been cooked the day before and reheated. Too much focus on optics of meal (they were taking photos of the plates as they came out from the kitchen) but not enough on taste. Terenure really needs this place but they need to up their game to keep customers.

This place is so unassuming but puts out some impressive dishes at very affordable prices. Went for dinner not realising it's more of a brunch/lunch spot. Had passed by in the car a few times and the exterior caught my eye. Inside, the decor is quite nice but doesn't lend itself to evening dining in my opinion. It didn't matter as we were there for a spontaneous quick feed and were blown away by the quality of the dishes. Insanely good fried chicken and chickpea stew. Service was class as well. Will definitely be back and recommending it to others.

A relatively new eatery in Terenure, Eaton Square has been on the to-do list for a while. With a busy Saturday ahead, we came in early doors at 9 am just as they opened. A steady stream of other punters gradually filled the place, many just getting takeaway coffees. I ordered the full Irish, as you do, while the other half had French toast. A double-shot latte and a strong Americano were also summoned up. My full Irish hit the spot although I still have reservations about baked beans with breakfast, in this case a massive ramekin full of the things. My companion's French toast was massive and, she declared, excellent whilst taking home a goodly section of it for later. And why not. Website and menu indicates even more delights at other times of the day. We will endeavour to sample and report back.

Had dinner here last friday evening, it was a very warm night so it was great they had outside space. It has more of a cafe feel rather than restaurant but it was still nice. it was very quiet and the waiter was very good. we had the mezze to start for two. olives bread hummus and a carrot salad. The carrot salad would have been fantastic only for there was almost equal amounts of coriander as carrot which for me was way too much and couldnt eat it, if its going to be there in major quantities it should have been in the description. feta was in the description but was only visible as a few dots, didnt actually taste it. hummus was lovely and came with harissa and dukkah. at least one more dish would have been nice as it was for two people and not that big. it was served with warm sourdough and we were offered extra. My husband had the special which was a chicken burger, chunks of chicken with bacon and dressing and rocket with chips. It was very good. I had the pork belly which was good, served with crispy crackling which was excellent. it was served with braised fennel which was too hard to even cut, and the pork sat in a lake of carrot puree. The puree tasted of nothing but carrot and was pretty much what you would give a baby. Nothing wrong with it but there was far too much of it and was bland, There wasnt anything else served so it was a meat only dinner for me. I think this place has great potential to up its game, I would love to try it again, the brunches sound lovely.
