I have stayed here many times for both work and pleasure. Mick and his team are always great and extremely helpful, I have no problem going back to stay here again! Its location is great if you are visiting UCC as its just across the road, and if you want to go shopping the main area is only a 10 min walk from the shops and pubs/restaurants!
Stayed there for a few nights. Good location just outside the city centre about a 15 minute walk to town. Great breakfast but found the bed in our room was very uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was great
Stayed here several times and will return. The Sheehan's provide a good price in an excellent location minutes from the town center. I've walked it many times! They are gracious, have much information on the area and serve an excellent breakfast.
I have stayed at Redclyffe Guest House oin Cork on a number of occasions and for good value, clean accommodation, a great breakfast and friendly owners you would be hard pressed to find better.
The car park can be tight when the house is full but Mick does a great job keeping everything moving so you are never held up.
The Redclyffe is, if you've read the reviews, one of those places that will not leave you indifferent. If you're looking for luxury and hotel-like quality (which, incidentally, you find in more and more b&bs), don't go there. If you're in for a lovely stay in a place with character, with a great host and a more than decently-shaped room, then, by all means, stay.
I was in a room in the attic, which had 4 beds, looked like a family room, for three of us. The room was HUGE, everything was spotless. Ok, the carpet looks worn down and some of the furniture is old, but again, the price is quite ok and the host is really nice.
The only problem of the b&b, according to Michael, owner, was that for some reason, the Redclyffe moved. I.e., when you went for a pint it was ten minutes from the b&b to the pub, but 45 minutes on your way back.
Great, great place. Going back there this year!
