This facility was good, not great but was priced fairly. We stayed on the top floor which was not good with two suitcases. The bed was comfortable, the room was small and the bathroom was way to tiny. It was almost impossible to sit on the toilet. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the main floor

Very quirky and interesting B&B. Unique character with eclectic artwork - fascinating. Delicious breakfast. Location is near the university and is about a 10 minute stroll to the city centre. Very helpful staff. Made us tea and gave us advice on the various restaurants. We were looking for Irish meals character and music. We got all three with Oliver Plunkett.
The mattress was quite hard and we prefer soft

Booked this place on short notice. First thing that you notice on walking in is the eclectic decor in this place! We were greeted on arrival by staff and shown to our room.

WiFi is available and cable TV in the room. The room was spacious and very quiet. We were on the top floor. The bed was comfortable.

We did not avail of the breakfast.

Only negatives - the bathroom was a little musty but the smell cleared once we opened the windows to air the room a bit. Parking is tight and there are only 6 places on site. I parked on the street. It is disc parking between 8am to 630pm Monday to Saturday and free on Sunday.

LOVED the art. The walls are covered in lots and lots of original works by various artists. Oils, acylics, sculptures.. I found myself browsing around the meeting room / hallway / dining room at one stage just admiring all the paintings.
From a more practical point of view, I got a warm welcome from the lovely Clodagh, was given a very nice room with well thought out furnishings. It's literally around the corner from UCC campus and a short walk to the Cork City Centre. Will stay here again next time in Cork.

As mentioned by others, the welcome is warm and decor amazing. The owner collects eclectic art works and theatrical artefacts. Our room (15) at the back of the house, up a flight of stairs, was well appointed, quiet and very clean. The bathroom was large with a good shower and large whirlpool bath. Beautifully tiled. Situation is good, with a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of the City. Cork city Gaol is about 20 minutes walk through a nearby park and across a footbridge, but be prepared for a steep climb up the hill. There could have been more vegetarian options for breakfast, but the buffet was good. My only slight criticism is that this was more expensive than our other sites, including a hotel. Parking is available but a bit of a squeeze . Wifi was in the room and reliable. We would recommend.
