“Quiet rural stay”
Reviewed 2 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed three nights for Ennis Fleadh. Seemed remote at first but we followed the instructions and found it easily. It is a lovely, modern barn conversion in a very quiet location. Jason left us some provisions which we enjoyed for breakfasts. From here we went to the Cliffs of Moher and up to Galway.

We stayed at An Ti Glas for 2 weeks using it as a home base from which to explore the fabulous western coast of Ireland and the trad music scene of Ennis. The apartment was perfect for us and the farm was amazing-quiet but not isolated, friendly people (on the farm and in the neighborhood), lovable dogs (not in the apartment but visiting for treats once in a while), and a very nice chicken who roosted on our front step a few times. We rented a car (necessary) and got to know the area pretty well-including a very friendly pub with a thatched roof in nearby Crusheen that is operated by one of the farm's neighbors.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and very ecologically responsible. The owners were so kind, helpful, friendly, and, I dont know - we really liked them and miss them now that we've come home. This was a fantastic vacation rental and we hope to return one day.

“Peaceful and cozy stay in an authentic setting”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We loved our three night stay at the granary. The initial time we drove there we were unsure if we had the right road, but Noelle came out to greet us, and confirmed that we had indeed arrived. It was only about 15 minutes from Ennis, we quickly got used to the commute, and it was an ideal location for our day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and rambling about beautiful Co. Clare. Noelle gave us some great suggestions for rambling on the Flaggy Shore and around Black Head. We enjoyed communing with the chickens, having a little tour of the organic farm and greenhouses with Jason, and seeing a small herd of cattle from a neighboring farm walk by one morning as they ambled to a new pasture. The apartment is perfect -- modern and comfortable -- and Noelle even welcomed us with homemade bread, jam, and fresh eggs. I especially enjoyed popping a CD of traditional Irish music into the CD player as we prepared meals together. Most of all we enjoyed meeting Noelle and Jason, and the chance to spend a few days in this setting, away from the tourist crowds.

“This is the most perfect country apartment!”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My husband and I decided that we wanted to forgo staying in a hotel and chose this lovely little apartment in the country instead, and we are so glad we did! It is attached to a larger house that is also a rental, but this was the absolute perfect size for the two of us. It was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook, and we actually cooked breakfast most mornings and dinner a few evenings. Ennis is nearby if you need to get groceries, and we also found a decent little store in Crusheen with a meat counter and most basic items.

As other reviewers have stated, the hosts are absolutely wonderful people. Noelle brought us some tasty goodies upon our arrival, and Jason answered our many questions. Their farm is charming. It was so nice to be able to go out and see the sights, and then come "home" to the relaxing, peaceful farm. We would definitely book this again given the opportunity.

“Best relaxing hideaway ever!”

This was a surprise trip for husband's birthday, and he's very much into getting away from it all, no tv, only listening to radio and reading books, long chilly walks in the quiet countryside and nobody for miles... he got everything he wished for!
We recommend hiring a car, and within an hour or so you can find yourself on the dramatic cliffs that Co. Clare has to offer, we loved being here in January as it was wild and barren, maybe not for everybody but wonderful to see!
Our hosts were a lovely friendly couple, who gave us tips on the area and left us some lovely organic eggs from their chickens on arrival. Lovely cottage, very clean and cosy.
We hope to stay here again!
