Enjoyed our time at Dangan Cottage. Comfortable in every way. The "cottage" also provided a van to take us into town to an Irish Pub for one evening. It was grand. Would go back if I ever get the chance. Management was very much available when needed.

Room Tip: Was not a hotel but a cottage. Very comfortable and clean. Nice looking cows outside window!

We had a three night break here and it was wonderful. There is NOTHING within walking distance of the cottages so you are reliant on a car. We had a wonderful time but wouldn't have wanted to stay for a full week as it was so remote. Take up the offer of the lift to the Irish bar for the music night it was fantastic. This is self catering accommodation and there isn't a reception on site but they provide a mobile phone to speak to the reception at the gold club.

We just got back from a weeks stay at Dangan Cottages. We could not be more pleased. It was an excellent experience. There were 4 of us in a 2 bedroom cottage and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
It had everything you would expect from an Ireland cottage.
The manager Ger Teefy was very helpful and came immediately to remedy any little problem that we had (like trying to figure out the TV). He even had a cell phone there for our use in emergencies. We all would go back there in a heartbeat..

Room Tip: Any of the cottages from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom would be fine....

Having stayed here several times, I still want to go back!
Quiet, a bit rustic and remotely secluded from the night life, while still being a short distance from everything you could possibly desire in the Irish stay.

Room Tip: Regardless of the cottage you choose, you can't go wrong. they all have their unique charm.

This was our first trip to Ireland. We had cottage 1 which is a 2 bed cottage with a lovely large living room which faces west so we had the sun in the evenings. It was good as a base for visiting County Clare and the local area. The nearest town is Ennis, about 10 miles away. I know other visitors who were there drove 3 hours to places of interest further away but we stayed fairly local. We visited the Flying boat museum in Foynes, drove around Lough Derg visiting Killaloe, Portumna and Mountshannon, Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good the first couple of days but when we visited Doolin and the Burren it was glorious and we were able to take lots of photos. Limerick has King John's Castle, 2 cathedrals and other attractions which are interesting and not too far to walk. On our last day we drove along the Shannon estuary to Kilrush where there were some lovely views on the way. We visited Loop Head lighthouse, a working lighthouse, where you could climb to the top for great views. We would recommend a visit to Peppers pub to experience traditional Irish music. We went twice during our stay. On the Wednesday there were 3 men who played, guitar, fiddle and accordion and a girl who played the fiddle. They were joined by 2 more girls who played fiddle and concertina and we had the pleasure of a seeing some Irish dancing given by a young girl. On Sunday there were 3 female musicians playing fiddle, guitar and Celtic harp - a real treat. The food is excellent.
