Comfortable place to have scones, salads, soups, smoothies and sweets. We liked the variety and freshness on the menu.

We stopped for coffee here after a day on Skye on our way back to Fort Augustus. We only stopped because we spotted their advertising board, the cafe is tucked out of the way, and were pleased that we did. The cafe is very comfortable, staff are welcoming and they serve great coffee.

I have visited Deli Gasta for a few years when visiting Skye and find the whole experience enjoyable. I have only had coffee and cake here but the place has a lovely atmosphere and the smells from the kitchen are wonderful. I would always make for Deli Gasta when ever I am in Skye and needing refreshment. Car parking is good and off the road. Staff are happy and pleasant

When we ordered the Highland Ploughmans we thought we were getting just that; a ploughman's lunch. But what we actually got was ploughman's sandwiches with salad on the side. Having said that, the sandwiches were excellent and we particularly liked the dressings that were on the salad and in the sandwiches; they complimented the food very well. The Deli Gasta is also very clean and tidy with a lovely ambience. The staff are also very friendly and the service is good. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that the cutlery, which you have to help yourself to, was quite grubby. It is not exactly a cheap cafe, so you don't expect to have to clean your cutlery before you use it.
Another observation is that the Isle of Skye is truly the eighth wonder of the world, but it is also a bit of a tourist trap. As is the norm with other similar establishments, the Deli Gasta has a bit of a shop going on where you can buy local hand-crafted goods and local food. So, if you want to pay £12.00 for a candle and £6.50 for a loaf of nice but not spectacular bread, then this is the place for you. For me however, it takes something away from the dining experience.
