I took my mum here for her birthday lunch today, and I couldn't have picked a better place to take her to. She is a vegetarian and had a full vegan and vegetarian selection of meals to choose from filled with exciting and unusual dishes, which was a refreshing change from the limited range that is offered in other local restaurants for vegetarians.
Our meals were delicious, I had the chicken and vegetable tempura which was lovely and light with a salad, my nana had the tandoori prawn salad which she said was absolutely delicious and she'd never had prawns as good as that before. My mum opted for the sweet potato, red pepper and chilli soup which again was delicious and the freshly made bread which accompanied it was outstanding.
From the moment we entered the two girls serving the tables were so helpful and pleasant, and the manager/owner was a joy to speak to. I had also arranged for a birthday dessert for my mum which was beautifully presented, and unsurprisingly was totally delicious once again - I've never seen my mum eat a pudding so quickly, she absolutely loved it.
I would highly recommend the No. 22, and it's refreshing to be served by genuinely friendly staff who come across as very happy at their work. I can't wait to dine at the fox and willow once it opens, as I'm sure it will be every bit as successful as the No. 22.
