We stayed here as part of an organised holiday with evening meal two nights of four. The building is old but full of character, right down to the wonky floorboards. Our room was sizeable, clean and very comfortable.
The breakfast food was standard fare, but there was nothing for me to complain about. The set evening meal one night saw me thinking hard about my choice of courses, but I was less keen on the choice of main meal and dessert on the second night. The haggis, neeps and tatties starter, however, was delicious and enjoyed by five out of six of our party.
At the top of the list is the staff, who were all very friendly and helpful and I don't recall any grouchiness or grumbling.
I'd certainly stay here again if I wanted to visit in this area.More
