Cuil an Duin is a real gem. Excellent hosts very comfortable room and wonderful breakfasts. The house, which has been beautifully restored, is in an idyllic setting in the woods with red squirrels as near neighbours. It is close to Pitlochry with good restaurants nearby. We recommend it very highly.

Cuil an Duin was a delight. Very friendly, bed very comfortable and excellent breakfast, even meeting the chickens that laid the eggs. David even stayed up till midnight to welcome us with carrot cake and tea as we had arrived on a late flight into Edinburg. Couldn't recommend enough!

My wife and I had a great one-night stay. Sally and David were great hosts, greeting us with a cuppa and freshly made scones. The house has been lovingly, classily decorated and avoids lots of the twee touches that besmirch many Scottish B&Bs. And then there is the setting - nestled in woods teaming with wildlife. Within two minutes of arriving we'd seen pheasants, roe deer and red squirrels. All in all, it's a thoroughly recommended haven.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay in this newly renovated B&B and we did not regret it. Sally and Dave were terrific hosts, making us feel extremely comfortable and offering great tips on things to do. Whichever room you are in you have fantastic views of the surroundings. The B&B is located close to Pitlochry village, a really nice town which has a range of bars, shops and restaurants. I couldn't recommend this B&B anymore and we will definitely be back.

Hello Paul. Many thanks for your delightful comments and we really appreciate you taking the time to post a review. I'm so pleased that you and your girlfriend enjoyed your visit and that you particularly enjoyed the views from your room. You certainly landed lucky with the weather for your first trip to Highland Perthshire and we're happy you were able to make the most of it, getting out and about in Pitlochry. We're also delighted that you would choose to recommend us to others - high praise indeed!

My family and I have just returned from a 3 night stay and, to summarise, it was a pretty perfect weekend. Dave and Sally were very welcoming and accommodating hosts and made sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The Cuil an Duin house and the 20 acres of land surrounding it is absolutely beautiful. Recently refurbished, the rooms are of an excellent standard and this is defined by the beautiful interiors from matching bedding, curtains and lampshades to the comforting, cushioning carpet. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone in to creating a boutique and classy but homely environment.

And of course I have to mention the exquisite food cooked and prepared by Dave and Sally. From a delicious 3 course meal to a fantastic breakfast spread including fresh eggs, Scottish jams and honey, a full English breakfast and scrumptious omelettes before we travelled home!

Overall it was fun-filled weekend with gorgeous views, nature, food and lots of laughter. I will definitely be recommending Cuil an Duin Country House to all my family and friends and look forward to my next stay here!
